For the record, it seems like payout request confirmations and payout request approvals are sent via email AND account message. Tracking numbers are just sent as account messages.

First time receiving a cash out from this site. While it was frustrating trying to receive a wire, and I eventually gave up on it, this check process was relatively fast. And #humblebrag but I have 6 more max checks approved for cash out and they told me I'd receive them every 7-10 days, I'm a little nervous as to how my bank will take a sudden influx of international checks. But I guess we will see! Fingers crossed.

I'm sorry to go off topic but anyone that doesn't know the epic amazing story of how he has max checks coming his way needs to check out his degen stories post. Awesome read.

Check was from the north and I went through the drivethru (major US bank). Deposit took slightly longer than a normal one, but the teller asked no questions.

I hadn't played since Party and Stars pulled out of the market. Just got back in a couple weeks ago. Kicking myself for not coming back sooner. Didn't think the money transactions would be this easy.

I requested a few 3k checks, approved 10/11. I got an email on 10/23 with tracking #, only to see that the check had been 'delivered' on 10/18 (long story short it's been returned to sender). Also ordered a WU 10/19, approved 10/20 and still no email. Called regarding these problems and was told they would put a stop on the check and credit me but wtf. Have been given the run around for ages regarding adding a bank wire option to my account. If someone can help me with this you will be my forever friend.

Went to pick up a western union and was told i had the sellers name wrong. Everything else matched up but just the sellers name. Called support and they confirmed the name that I had. Was fowarded on to initiate a new payout I assume I was on hold for a while saying that he sent it as urgent and should hear back soon. Eventually he said they would contact me when they knew something that was about 7 hours ago. But has anyone ever had this problem before, it seemed a little sketchy.



I saw someone post a few pages back about being careful doing too many western unions. I have done 3 since 9/29 since starting to play on the site. The agent I was on phone with for about 30 minutes said he would try to get me some sort of bonus for the troubles. Since i have paid about 4-500 in fees alone on WU to them, I recieved a $10 bonus that probably didnt cover the gas to get to the store . No less the hour I wasted there trying to get it to work.

You need the sender's name when you pick up a WU? I have only done it once, but thought MCTN and your ID is all you need.

There is ZERO Bovada support in this thread. So not sure how anyone here is going to be able to help.

I brought my check from bovada to my bank, which is a big bank. Try and deposit it, they tell me they have to send for collections and that it will probably be 2 weeks before the money is in my account. I am beyond tilted. Anyone else run into this?

also have a bank wire that was accepted this past monday, so fingers crossed this goes through before my check does

It's completely up to the employees at the branch you choose to deposit at. Most people report these problems at smaller, local banks, but it can happen anywhere.

it's not luck of the draw. every bank has their own rules with regards to how much they will make available in your account immediately when you deposit a check. foreign checks actually take a few weeks to clear. if the check is over this amount then it won't be made available for a few weeks.

in my case with my bank that amount was 5,000 dollars. so when i deposited 2 checks each for 3,000 dollars, 3000 was available right away, and the other 3,000 wasn't available for a few weeks until the check cleared collections.

I just thought I would give you guys a bit of advice when it comes to depositing "non-standard" checks at any bank.

A bit of background, I am an independent contractor that gets multiple checks from different sources at sporadic times throughout the year. Sometimes they put my business name on the checks and sometimes they make it out to my name. (my business name is my name but with one extra word at the end to denote it as a business, example-- John Smith Consulting)

So I have tried just depositing the "John Smith Consulting" checks before and gotten the runaround on how I need to open a separate business account, yada yada yada. I don't want 3 friggin' accounts, I am a sole proprietor and don't need to keep funds separate for any reason.

So the easy way around it is to just make sure that I depositing multiple checks at a time, including at least one made out to just my name. I also like to throw a couple hundred in cash into the deposit as well. I have made deposits like this literally hundreds of times over the years and never had the "business" checks questioned.

I use the same method when depositing poker checks.. I just make sure it is hidden in with a few of my so-called business checks and once again, it's never been questioned.. sometimes there is an automatic hold for foreign checks.. but not always.

So in summary, my recommendation is to have a wife, girlfriend, friend, write you a check for any amount.. $50, whatever.. give them cash for it at time of transaction, that way there is no trust issues. Get cash back at grocery stores, Walmart, etc. whenever you go shopping so that you have a couple hundred bucks to deposit. Then, depending on your poker cash out schedule, just do this easy ritual (depositing check made out to you, cash, and poker check) every time you deposit and, while I am not offering any guarantees, I am guessing that your average success rate without hassle will improve.

Edit: One last piece of advice is to walk into the bank when you make your deposit. Tellers just seem to question things a lot less when you are face to face with them. Comment on the weather, talk about a current event, whatever.. just make sure to make small talk which will keep them distracted. They will tend to be a lot less likely to notice that you are depositing a non-standard check. The only times I have ever had any problems is through drive-throughs.

In the event that they do say something or say they need to put a manual hold on it, tell them never mind.. that you will just deposit it in your "other" banks. This may get them to "wave" the hold. Make the comment that "a hold has never been done before" Be direct, but be cordial, never show open anger.. that doesn't work. If they don't offer to wave the hold, do get the check back and just come in at a different time another day and make sure you get a different teller.

If you find none of this works, while it's a pain in the butt, it might be worth your while to find another bank. I seem to have had the most luck at big chain banks, local banks probably tend to show more scrutiny.

Time frame for wires is 5-10 business days. They had to "re-process" it on 10/23 because they "accidentally" process it as a check. Hopefully this didn't reset my business day time frame. Not too much information on successful wires in this thread, but hopefully I'll be adding some!

scratch that......bank called and said they didn't realize it was a Canadian check. They gonna charge me a $20 conversion fee and they have to call the bank that the check was issued from.
