(AKA sounds like the check is going to bounce?) I certainly did not issue a stop payment on this payout nor attempt to cancel a (non-existent) stop payment. When I emailed them back stating as much, they responded with the exact same nonsense, re-confirming that the cancellation of the stop payment would not be able to be processed.
Anyone else had a similar experience? They are saying the money is going to go back in my account less a $40 stop-payment fee, which isn't a huge deal but still seems very sketchy.
I had a check processed around that time, maybe a few days before. I think I deposited it on the 28th. Over the weekend it I got an email, saying that it was no good and was going to bounce. It bounced today. Bank was from the East if I recall.
They should probably reimburse you for the stop payment, cause it was most likely from the same bad batch of checks. For me, they said they are sending another check, the money is not back in my account.
