Long time reader, first time poster but I had to in light of the events that occurred over the previous 2 weeks with bo-vada-dog customer service, financial services, and security.
Check Requested and approved: Dec 1
Check Received: Dec 29th
Check Bounced: Dec 29th
Background: Business day 15, I start to email/call customer service for fear that I would not receive my check on time since i didn't have a tracking number. I received 4 different emails similar to the one below that stated 1. my check has been approved and 2. that it had been sent to a courier, with the latest email coming from customer service on December 23rd. I also spoke with them everyday from Dec 20th - today prior to receiving my check and was informed that although the original email stated it was approved on the 1st, it was infact approved on the 13th and i will need to wait 15 biz days from the 13th (yesterday on a call). Today I received my check and its DATED 12/27/2011. Went to cash it at Walmart, they could not ID the bank #. Went to teller and they told me the same thing. So I called CS again (transferred to financial services and then to security) and asked to have another check reissued and was told that they've dealt with others who have received a check from the same processor, shell-company, bank that I did and the only thing i needed to do was deposit in the ATM and it was a good check - she assured me of this over and over - 30 min call. I went to deposit it into the ATM 5 mins after hanging up and received an error msg "check will be returned". Called back immediately and spoke with the same security rep (by now my account had been disabled and CS will no longer deal with me, I was very very angry and it showed) and was told within two minutes that the check was no good. Was told that they will re-issue a check and I should receive it within 10 biz days from processing. This would not be an issue as i've had to deal with return checks from both stars and UB pre-BF, BUT I cannot trust a word that bodog tells me and you should not either. If you have not cashed out yet, I would strongly advise you to do so because this company is not reputable at all. And if you cant trust the counter party on either side of a bet/financial transaction (trading, poker, sports betting, etc) YOU SHOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. You can mark my word, the recent rush of cashouts has dealt bodog a big blow and you can believe that somewhere down the line the light will shine on this and another shoe will fall in the poker world (similar to full-tilt). If you want you can take comfort in the fact that bodog has never missed a payout in years. But neither had wachovia, Merill lynch, AIG, etc until they filed for bankruptcy protect/took bailout funds. AND THESE FIRMS ARE GOVN'T REGULATED AND PERFECTLY LEGAL. sorry for the long post but this has been a long day/last two weeks and I felt that I needed to let you guys know the type of company you're dealing with right now. THIS IS NOT THE BODOG OF OLD. There's a reason OUTSIDE of BF, that they're distancing themselves from the US and shunning withdrawing players.
I received a check from the Bahamas (not hand-written fwiw).

Just wondering how a check with a date of 12/27, sent 2 day priority mail, was already with the courier on 12/23? AM i missing something?
Should've known something was wrong with this company when people work there and can't use spell check. Maybe I was not lied to since they were awaitng a tracking number and not AWAITING a tracking number.
If anyone wants to dispute the date of my check I can also post a picture of the check once i blackout all banking/personal info.
CLIFFS: Was repeatedly lied to by CS, bo-vada-dog financial services. Check finally arrives and is no-good. This company definitely has liquidity issues and you should rethink your current/future relationships with bo-vada-dog.
