Like do they close your account and take your balance if find out? Can they even see where bitcoin coming from? I assume that's why we go through blockchain first.

Really appreciate your time if you choose to respond to me.
It's a tough question to answer and I don't know of any good one size fits all response that will work. Each person will have to come up with something that fits them.

For most people answering with their actual job is easy... for professional players it's more difficult.

I don't know for sure that they'd close your account just because you said you were a professional poker player who wants to invest in bitcoin - but it seems risky.

I can say though that yes, if they know that bitcoin came from gambling they will close your account. So never tell them that or put it in a note field or anything.

If they closed your account they wouldn't take your money though. You would be able to withdraw the bitcoin and sell somewhere else, or withdraw the USD to your bank one last time.

Bovada BC withdrawal Request- 02/07 8:05pm
Bovada Processed and approved / Blockchain Received - 02/07 9:02pm
Transfer to Coinbase received - 02/07 9:06pm
Expected Arrival into my bank account - this Friday 02/10

My first time with BC, f*ck this is fast. Haven't cashed out in a while, last time was via check. sure beats sweating it all when making a deposit through a teller then hoping no problems or a bouncing check. not to mention, the long wait.

Ive waited for close to 60 hours for an approval from > Ignition, then to> Blockchain was less than 30 min. Then where it goes it's up to you.

If endthefed wasn't in here I couldn't imagine what the thread wouldclook like.

have you tried e-mailing them? maybe some sort of documentation is required. 82 hours is not normal at all. normally request from Bovada is couple minutes - to hours. A day at max.

Good luck.

Did you use a bonus? I waited for months while Bovada stalled and asked me to send in a bunch of documents, which I did. Even after all that, they confiscated all $7k of my account funds for "bonus abuse". I did no such thing though, as I have already clarified on this forum:

Bovada and Ignition are just completely shady sites who will make up excuses not to pay out, be very careful everyone!

I hate to tell you this but it's doesn't sound good. I recommend you google the various forums to find out about how Bovada AND Ignition have confiscated winnings AND deposits from players who won fair and square using the same bonuses that they promote. Most likely what will happen next is, they will ask you for a bunch of documentation for them to verify. What they are really doing is just stalling. Ultimately they will just use the bogus excuse of "bonus abuse" to confiscate everything, and won't provide any proof or details.

This is happening to so many players but as long as these crooks feel like they can get away with it, it's not going to stop.

All I can say is GOOD LUCK and I hope you get paid!!

I have been with Bovada for a while, I have never had a issue cashing out even when using a bonus. That being said I am looking into what you are saying because prior to the NFL playoffs, Someone who works for Bovada was quoted as saying that the only team that Bovada would lose money if they won the Super Bowl is the New England Patriots because so many people bet on them at the start of the regular season to win the Super Bowl. Well, the Patriots won, I hope this didnt cause them to lose so much money that they are now playing dirty. There is somebody that posted here that claims they were paid yesterday. We will see. I will post when I am paid.

I just got my bitpay card, and loaded a grand on it successfully, when I try to withdraw cash from an ATM,
It has 3 options:
Checking
Saving
Credit

I select credit and it said transaction is not allowed, so should I choose other options?
Any insight would be appreciated

Ok, can someone make sure I am on the right track? I requested a $450 withdrawl via bitcoin, im in the usa. With no bank account.

I did make a bitcoin account at Coinbase, I got my unique wallet id and put that into the Ignition withdraw line. I also just sent in my verification documents to Ignition email.

Am I good to go? I can just meet someone on craigslist and do a cash deal or something right? Are my funds going to get lost? Am i going to get screwed?

You should have used a wallet and not an exchange to receive your bitcoin. I use Jaxx. Good Luck.

You can sign up for the Bitpay debit card as a way to sell bitcoin for cash without a bank account. The card costs $10 in bitcoin and takes like 7 days to arrive though.

If you still want to do that for this withdrawal and not be exposed to the exchange rate you could just redeposit all but the $10 back to Ignition and then request another withdrawal when your card arrives.

Like outfit said, you should have had them send your withdrawal to a bitcoin wallet instead of Coinbase. You should always withdraw to your own wallet first... plus you don't even need to involve the exchange if you don't plan on selling bitcoin there.

You can sell on there and have the money sent to a PayPal account though if you have that. It's 3.99% but might be easier than having to wait and find someone in person to sell to.
