Anyone here ever use a Casascius bitcion as their card protector? I'm considering it. haha But worried about what kind of table image that would give if I started explaining bitcoins to strangers at the table.

you cant pay your rent with EURO either when ur in the US.

Dumb comment. Bitcoin is a real currency. You can sell your bitcoin for $ or EURO and then pay your rent.

When it comes to big corporations, the story is different as the market overall is relatively small (i think 60m with largest account less than 3M).

However surely enough for online poker.

I have used bitcoins to get money onto switchpoker and it worked amazingly well. If any of the sites would accept bitcoins (merge, cake) this would be my only way of getting money in and out there.

There's probably more people who accept BTC than some small nations.

someone in here mentioned playing on switch poker. I live in the US and they say there are not any deposit options for US players but i wanted to use bitcoins to play on that site. Is there anyone here who plays on switch poker inside of the US? When i filled in the info my account i could not find the US under the list of countries so this worries me.

You could also use other ecurrency, like liberty reserve to move the money around. There are quite a few options.

I'm pretty sure you can't play on switchpoker from the US. Only one I know of is Sealswithclubs. There used to be a couple others but they turned into ghost towns and went kaput.

I don't get using bitcoins but not accepting the people who could use it most. Seems to kind of defeat the point. But still some advantages.
