I used to play on Carbon a bit back in like 07. The software was so terrible back then. I play on two 15 inch monitors, can fit four tables on each screen, and when you shrunk the tables down, you couldn't make out any of the letters or numbers or anything. It was a big problem with merge software forever, but it looks like they've finally fixed it with this software change. Everything is crisp and clear and it's a lot better now. Plus, you can upload custom avatars, and they appear automatically.

Is this even up for debate lol I really would hope lock is in the works right now to get up to date.. They should have waited (if it was feasible) until they had polished software until the release. First impressions are everything and lock has lost a lot of traffic because of it. Falling short of guarantees a majority of the time, horrible service, awful software.. Obv lock is on it's way out.. Leaving Merge was not a stepping stone, it was a downgrade.. And call me paranoid, but I think lock knows this... Don't mean to derail here but this just one of many problems that we've seen that seem to be the result of impulsive decisions and bad management.

Multitabling is painful on Lock/Cake. I haven't tried Merge's new software but their old software was certainly better. Always love ending a session and finding that I wasn't even playing on 2 or 3 tables I thought I was seated at.

Honestly the main difference in the software is that merge's is more visually appealing, as well as a better waitlist system. Unfortunately, Lock did manage to **** up cake's software. I really don't remember it being this buggy to begin with. It still runs, but seeing 15 people on a table in the lobby is a bit tilting. I hope they can come out with something good, but I'm probably not going to play the first few days it comes out because I'm afraid of something really bad happening, if we can use the merge software release as an example.

One plus on cake vs merge is cake doesn't show the percentages when you get it in. I think this is a good thing as the percentages educated a lot of fish on how far behind they really were.

I find that the lock software is WAY more laggish, and a lot of times i have to click on "call" or "raise" several times before it registers. is this a mac thing or is it this bad for pcs too?

hands down merge, merge is very fishy at this time as far a play is concerned, but the software is hands down the best out right now
