Just use coinbase as my wallet? Or will coinbase not allow transfers to betcoin?
Yes, that will work.
If you eventually end up wanting to hold a larger amount of bitcoin I'd probably recommend moving it offline, like paper wallets, but if you're just wanting a smaller amount to transfer back and forth to play with then Coinbase should be fine.
It just means you have to trust Coinbase and keep your account safe. I personally trust that Coinbase isn't going to run off with my money but after BF I obviously don't trust anyone with more than is necessary.
So then you just have to make sure you use strong passwords and 2FA.
And Betcoin should generate a new address for you, so Coinbase won't have any way of knowing who the recipient is.
