Hey guys,

I live in manhattan and was hoping you guys knew of some spots that offered late night WiFi, coffee shops/libraries etc in NJ where I would be able to set up shop and play.

I will be making the commute a couple times a week to play after work (around 5pm or so)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm in somewhat the same boat.

So far I've only played from my gf's parents house during Thanksgiving but I am planning on taking the path across to Jersey City and play at the beer garden down by the water I've been to a handful of times.

They are open late? What's the deal there?

Do you provide your own internet connection?

I live in Phila and if i go to NJ i cannot play. The only play i am able to play so far is in a casino.

I also cannot use ipad or iphone in NJ unless connected to a wifi of a casino.

This is both for wsop and borgata.

God this is annoying.

I spoke to support and I think the crux is having a static ip address. So Nj ip does not mean anything I guess.

I play down in Asbury park in NJ. Have a shore house there im from staten island and last weekend i had family down and had no problems whatsoever from the hotels my family were staying at. There more like bed n breakfasts real small cheap as hell in winter. You should look some up in ocean grove nj the town right next to asbury dirt cheap good rooms and wifi in between residence houses getting wifi which i think was the biggest issue with staying logged in. I had zero problems from that inn in ocean grove. Hoboken where my sister lives though i had nothing but problems..plus expensive and loud. If i find the name ill post it. Its on the internet though i booked 4 rooms there for family over thanksgiving

They rushed it and now are having all sorts of really dumb problems. I'm just a bit pessimistic about the future as well because of how they went about licensing each separate casino. Having multiple sites will just dilute the playing fields even more than they already are by the brick n mortar expansion we have already seen. Look at chester,Delaware park, perryville, parx,md live, Charlestown. They all ( with the exception of md live) killed or are killing each other, players and games are getting fewer and fewer. Online is set up for failure at the current model IMO. Greedy rake and too many sites

They are open until 2AM everynight and offer free wi-fi, does that fit your needs?

As a NJ resident I feel like they rushed this. A lot of my friends who aren't natural citizens cannot play and are taking a long time to verify. Their programs block you if you have screen sharing stuff (even after you already deleted it). Being close to a NJ border can **** you over. There can be a decent amount of lag. Their customer support sucks.

Pokerstars needs to come back.

so much whining

How about be happy that you have a regulated poker market before 48 of the other states?

Instead of whining for Pokerstars, send your complaints to the current sites and help them fix the issues.

The only thing Pokerstars can/would be able to do is have a better site once you got there. They still would have the same problems that are going on now--third party verification/screen sharing software and every thing else which is against the law in NJ.

I figured I'd just go to starbucks but they close relatively early compared to when tournaments end.

I wish the Sunday majors started earlier in the day.

Who will be the first to post some internet poker pics from NJ?

Like this one from Vegas, by the airport.
  • 3 players
  • at least 6 computers
  • at least 3 air cards (visible on computers 1 , 5 and 6)
