Guys, I understand that you are all frustrated with this whole situation, but I smell a rolling coming on. I would proceed with extreme caution here.

I believe someone offered a percent of funds recovered but this guy would prefer 50 bucks a head upfront? Can you spell IDI?

FYI most of us know this.

I mellow scamming? maybe? But hey its 50 bucks and the guy has spent hours talkign to me online abotu the situation over the past few months and devoting much of his time as well. In my mind he's already given me 50 bucks worth of information on the tusk situation anyways.

For those of us who have over 10k in this mellows plan only needs to be succesful like 5% of the time for this to be very profitable. Plus it gives me sound mind to know that I at least tried to get my money back, rather than sitting back.

So the prospect of being scammed 50 bucks here is nothing for me (like i said if you have less than 1k on the site you might not want to join us).

Sounds like we have enough people for mellow to proceed so at this point I'm sorry but I really don;t care if anyone else joins :P Although I'm sure mellow would welcome others.

that being said I am more worried abotu handing over personal details rather than 50 dollars. If anyone has concerns they would like addressed or worries that you arn;t comfortable expressing publically you can pm me and I will keep them private.

How many hours did Cornell Fiji spend on the whole UB thing exactly?

Hey he can pull a Cornell Figi and gamble, buy stippers, donate to charity, or build a church with the money for all I care. Once the money goes to him its his to do as he pleases. It's not like he is stealing it like Fiji did...

What does still concern me somwaht is sending private info and that is something we will need to come to a conclusion on. I would want most people on here (myself included) to feel extremely comfortable giving such info to mellow. This will probably require some effort on mellows part.

If anyone has any suggestions on how this can be acheived please feel free to share. I need to get some sleep now.

I appreciate the feedback from everyone whether or not your are skeptical or supportive of mellow, and I apologize to bronx if I reacted harshly to his concerns.

if what you do gets me my money back in full then I will give you 10k, if it helps recover some of the money then I will adjust the number somewhat. However, I will not front $ to anyone.

I don't think the concern here should really be the $50. Of course you don't want to give the money away, but what I mean is the personal info is the bigger issue IMO.

Is there any way some of the info could be given now, and more of it as things progress and trust is built? Alternatively, could some of the info be passed on to a third party for the time being?

I don't want to burn any bridges being built here, and I don't have any reason to be wary outside of what I've read in this thread (IE I have no "inside" information). If mellow says this absolutely isn't possible for some reason, then so be it. I'm just making some suggestions.

Tusk was internationaly incorporated in Vanuatu, however, the operations including its agent/subsiduary companies NewEcon and MyProkerProfit as well as all its emplyees were in Queensland.

Therefore, we see a Brisbane Liquidator and the companies operations fall fully within the jurisdiction of Queensland.

If this works wouldn't the liquidators have to honor all the players' balances? So why would you need the players' personal info? Just as an example?

I have not got any money myself invested in this but for gods sake dont give this guy any personal info or money upfront.

You will get a dividend payment when the liquidators have completed their investigations (sooner or later) I am a chartered account in the UK so I know a bit about what im talking about.

There is nothing some guy (however well meaning) can do. He's not a lawyer knowledgeable in this sector or anything of that nature. Worst case scenario is that he finds a way to scam you guys.

Just sit tight as much as it sucks.

Yeah i think ill sit back and wait i know your probably geniuine but i dont want to give you my name address etc. I would hope that all you need is our email address connected with the room and the amount owed. Account numbers and stuff looks dogey plus you only joined this place when this happens. I feel its very silly to give out such details to an unknown. No offence.

I just received a message from mellowman and wanted to let everyone know that his "plan" is to attempt to recover money first off the top that people had requested withdrawals for. In other words, for the small number of players who had withdrawals in process at the time Tusk was shut down, he is going to try to get them put ahead of the rest of us.

This is damaging to us as a whole, and of no benefit to anyone who had a balance in their poker account that they had not attempted to withdraw.

It benefits the few and hurts the many (including myself). Even though Sims Partners has obviously been no friend to us, I intend to let them know of his plans and ask them to fight his action so that no players are given preferential treatment ahead of other players.

I've sent a few emails to sims partners and they haven't responded once.

I sent them an email yesterday stating that my money was protected under Oz law and I want my money back asap.

They replied within 6 hours...

Mr Transa,

At this stage, we are still continuing to realise the assets of the company and conducting further investigation into the company’s affairs. We confirm that the creditors’ funds are protected and will be distributed when the assets of the company have been fully realised. A Report to Creditors will be prepared in due course.

Nice one Transa, hope this turns out to be true (rather than a rash statement by somebody in Sims), and wish they'd made a public statement to that effect earlier. I note the email isn't signed by one of the main administrators.

All it means is that whatever money is still there isn't going anywhere (except in Sims pocket for the work they are billing). It doesn't mean that all the money is there.

Mike Haven has kindly offerred to hold payments in escrow for those of you who are a bit sceptical that I'm actually doing anything to sort this out.

Anyone who has further interest please email me proof of a withdrawl request as that is my primary line of attack.

Im not being funny or anything, but do you have any idea of how these things work? What credentials do you have in this area?

No creditors will be paid before any other, to suggest you can get some people paid before others is being either deliberately misleading or living in cloud cuckoo land.

Believe it or not Simms are actually acting in the interests of players and will pay out the money when everything is sorted. None of us know how complicated a business Tuck was. They may have some assets that are difficult to realise or it may be more difficult than we think to identify for certain how much everybody is owed.

The most important thing is that it is done correctly and ALL creditors get EVERYTHING they are entitled to.

Nope, unfortunately for the rest of us who've been on top of this since day one , Simspartners are waiting until some time in October for people to send their forms in (which you got in April - 6 months ago) so you're fine to email them in now.
