Ive seen 2 liquidations happen in the news recently and they dont take very long from what i see. What i would like if someone good with words or 2 or 3 people email the sun with this story there a UK paper, I have tried this but got no answer see microgamining is in the isle of man and it has sites like Ladbrokes, Unibet and lots more all UK compinies still running. If you got a big 2 page spread saying how safe is your money on these big book makers. Stories like i have 22k just locked 1 day etc. Maybe the bookmakers will see there buisness drop a little and get microgaming to get this moving. What yous think?

HOW can I contact The Sun?

The fastest way is to call our journalists on 0207 782 4100 (from outside the UK dial 0044 207 782 4100 ).

You don't need to worry about the cost of the call either - as we'll call you back right away!

We'll tell you immediately if we like your story and, if appropriate, give you an idea of what it could be worth.

You can also email us on talkback@the-sun.co.uk or text us on 63000.

Remember to include a phone number - preferably a mobile - where we can call you back.

The red tops are far too into sheer sensationalism to ever be trusted with such a story tbh. I can imagine "Online poker sites steals millions from it's players!" as the headline and them using the parts of the story that suited them to shock the reader.

I'd like to see it being broadcasted to the general public/other players but unless a 2+2er or an actual poker player wrote the article, there's no way I'd like to see a young journalist for the red tops run the story.

My two cents on these suggestions on how to hurt Microgaming is a bad idea. It is strongly(?) suggested that the reason why Microgaming hasnt stepped up and vouched for the players money is because they dont know how much it is yet (there has been some estimates, but nothing official), and they dont know how much is left of it in Tusk. So basically they will wait for the liquidator to process the case and pay out whatever is left in Tusk, and THEN make the consideration to cover the rest of it. As stated several times, similar cases have happened before on the Prima network, and Microgaming has stepped up in those cases. I dont know if they will this time, but I wouldnt rule it out until the liquidation process is over and we see the respons from Microgaming.

Regardless, how does contacting the media and giving Microgaming a bad rep help us in this case? Frankly, I only see it as hurting us. Let's say the media cover it and Microgaming loses like 20% more of their players. This will lower their income, hence giving them less money. When they know the $ amount that the players lost in this case they must consider if they can afford to cover it. Obviously they prolly can, but if their business is fading and they have to spend alot more money for marketing, it will be less money that is available for our case.

Now I understand how you think such a story in the papers would force Microgaming to pay us, but remember, first of all Microgaming has done nothing wrong in this case in terms of the money lost, only in terms of information given (both before and after this happened). Also remember the media has its own agenda, and thats to sell papers etc. They arent interested in helping us getting our money back, they are interested in making the story as "sellable" as possible. They might blow this up huge about the big bad company, but have no interest in doing a followup if Microgaming came through for us. Even though this is purely speculations on my part, I dont see how going to this step at this time will be more helpful than hurtful for our case.

However if the case ends up with us the players as the big losers, this is a step we might want to take. I'm assuming there are some of the highrollers that also plan on taking legal action if this case doesnt have a happy ending, so for now I plan on sitting back and let the liquidation take its time and be processed.

This isn't true. I agree, however, that the press are a last resort. Poker doesn't need bad press.

I know. It's likely that they didn't have anything like the amount of money on deposit, and Tusk's casinos already have a new owner which highlights what a different situation they have.

100% true, the way this has progressed and developed is nothing like what MGS has experienced before. BTW I just looked at poker tracker the other day and I've pretty much paid MGS (through rake over the last few years) the amount I am owed in funds (which is a lot). Yet they won't do **** for us. I imagine all the TUSK players involved have paid MGS a few million dollars through rake. And they give us zero help.

To those saying MGS is not at fault please read my prior posts where I explain they very much are.

If we are major losers good luck taking that step (it would be a year from now and most players will have given up online poker or lost motivation). Plus trying to garner support long after the original issue has passed is a lost cause.

Very few people care now, and I gurantee a year from now that basically no one aside from the players involved will care.

Listen to this man.

Telling the tabloids this story would be a very bad idea (assuming they were interested.)

Yes best case. Although I suppose the best best case would be that MGS makes up the other amount after those six months.

This is the sad truth, not only in the gambling community, but in general.

No one, besides the victimized players care about this situation.

Everyone needs to step up and speak up, to keep **** like this from happening again.

"First they came for the Jews, and I was silent, then they came for the Negroes, and I was silent again, then they came for the infirm, but still I was silent. Then they came for me, I looked around for someone to speak up, BUT THERE WAS NO ONE LEFT TO SPEAK."

Do we necessarily HAVE to send in a kind of liquidation form?

I don't get it. I should have my rights even without sending a liquidation form to the liquidator?

It's called legal process. Fill out the form or forget about getting anything back. It's as simple as that.

Not true, to my understanding the liquidators will try and contact all creditors to refund money regardless of whether you fill out the proof of debt form. I'd bet that tons of creditors will not fill out the form simply because they don't know whats going (those who don;t frequent 2plus2) on or don't care. Nevertheless Simspartners cannot ignore them.

That being said not filling out the form means that the liquidators will have to spend longer trying to track people down and of course therefore charge more (which comes out of our money and slows the process). Also you could end up getting less money than you deserve.

Also given that it takes 10 mins max to fill out forms no reason why you shouldn't send them.

for a lot of people who haven't bothered with just a few dollars in the account it is going to cost way more than amount of money in their accounts to contact them.

Contacting all the players is going to be extremly costly. It would be nice if Microgaming/sites could contact every player personally and encourage them to fill the forums out.

Yes I still have yet to receive a single email from microgaming or my skin. No one seems to really be offering much help. Everyone wants to keep their hands clean and pretend like nothing is going on.

And you are correct it will be a big waste dealing with players who have like 30 bucks in their account and stopped playing over a year ago, or have moved etc.
