Lodged my claim.

So you can actually do this via email? How would such an email look like? I have no clue clue how this works, it would be nice if someone could help.

Love it - thousands of emails winging there way to the liquidators at this very moment. How long, do you think, it'll take for them to read each one, check the figures are correct with Microgaming, process the claim and pay out? If this is seriously what has to happen, I would doubt very much anyone will get paid before 2009.

Goodness, what luck that "Microgaming is one of the most respected names in the industry" - after all, how much harder it would be if they didn't care about their customers!

Definitely looks like MGS is taking no responsibility here and is leaving the players completely out in the cold.

There aren't any private documents anyway, so it probably doesn't matter but I sent a request for access to them if and when there are any, in addition to sending a message through the inquiry link. I just gave my account #, alias, balance and attached a pdf file including my screen shot that shows balance, alias and the message pop-up which shows that the screen shot was taken after the balance was frozen.

Elsewhere on the Sims site, there is a pdf of a form for submitting proof of debts - not sure if we are supposed to fill this out and send it in hard copy.

From a quick perusal of some of the other liquidations in process on the Sims site, I'm not expecting anything to resolved quickly. I won't be surprised if it is months or years before we hear anything concrete.

Yes based on the guide I provided it really doesn;t look that good They mention YEARLY liquidation meetings....

also this passage pretty much confirms what we were worried about before...

All information suggests we are unsecured creditors.

If there are funds left over after payment of
the costs of the liquidation, and payments
to other priority creditors, including
employees, the liquidator will pay these to
unsecured creditors as a dividend.
Generally, the order in which funds are
distributed is:
• costs and expenses of the liquidation,
including liquidators’ fees
• outstanding employee wages and
superannuation
• outstanding employee leave of absence
(including annual leave, sick leave—
where applicable—and long service
leave)
• employee retrenchment pay, and
• unsecured creditors.
Each category is paid in full before the
next category is paid. If there are
insufficient funds to pay a category in full,
the available funds are paid on a pro rata
basis.

Is there any kind of way to put Microgaming out of bussiness? (or at least damage there reputation or so) And if so, isnt that a way to put pressure on our refunding?

In my opinion ppl should at least know that they are not being honest about where the player funds are being kept, and that u could lose ur roll whenever some shady offshore company (that no costumer ever heard off when they signed with them) descides to take the money and run MGS is going to alow that...

Absolute only got into action when the comunnity raised there voices.....

I agree, this is absolutely sickening at this stage and whatever can be done to soil the reputation of Microgaming must be done, anything in an effort to get them to step in and help out the players.

Also, why is this happening in Australia when the company was incorporated in Vanuatu?

MLSchaff, how do you know there aren't any private documents? Have they replied to you already?

I'm not quite sure what we are supposed to do here?
Can somebody tell us what the best way to go about lodging our claim is?
Do we send it to ' tusk@simspartners.com.au'?
What do we send?
