I was looking up something else on Wikipedia, but when I got to the bottom of the page, I thought it was describing Pokerstars in 2015:

Yes. I think that this is a large part of why poker is in decline.

Not sure why you are surprised that this is happening at 100nl. What stakes do you expect bumhunting to stop at and why?

I guess I was expecting it to happen more in the higher limits rather than 100nl. I did not realize this was so prevalent at full ring game tables.

As stated it doesnt happen as much at 400+, mainly bc players seem to be smart enuff to understand how bad tis is and bc people get called out moar often. At 100 the playerpool is just alot bigger

Lower stakes are more filled with pros than ever, primarily from eastern Europe. You will see this stuff happening at lower stakes than 100. The rake at these stakes is so high that their coach/mentor will be hammering "don't play a hand without a huge fish" into their heads until they get it.

They don't necessarily leave poker, just online poker. Their results are so devastatingly bad that they can't believe it's fair

no, the rake is

bumhunting is getting more and more predatory because the game are getting harder and harder and to a lot of them, bumhunting is their only way to survive even though they would be massive winners with no rake. With less rake people would be more likely to work on their game volume and their discipline over working on their bumhunting mechanics.

rake should be reduced, and by a lot. How the **** it is universally acceptable to charge 10% for a mtt and 5% for every single ****ing cash game hands is beyond my understanding.

Perhaps any Party players can clarify: it appears to me that taking a break (sitting out all tables) is expensive as you effectively have to give up an average or half an orbit of free hands per table (0.75bb/table) whereas ending a session is fine as you can sit out each table individually when the BB has passed(?)
Party's system isn't perfect, there's ways to scum it, but it more or less gets the job done. There was a drastic reduction in camping after its implementation.

Games are dying for a host of reasons. Despite edges being smaller than ever, sites have not reduced rake. They've INCREASED rake by nerfing rewards and are failing to stymie the proliferation of bots which are taking millions out of the games. NLHE SSNL regs need a 6bb/100 winrate just to breakeven (lord knows what PLO regs need) against rake which is absolutely ridiculous.

I could probably find examples like this all day long:

yourpro (Belarus) features again; a typical scummy reg, ex-short stacker, now pro bum-hunting leech.

Henadzi (Belarus) is a massive loser at these games despite sitting out when fish do. This extra edge doesn't appear to help his game much, but I guess his loss-rate would otherwise be even bigger.

To be fair to KAMAZZZ2 I think he sat back in before the fish did.

The King is probably also desperate to find whatever edge he can seeing as I doubt he is a winner in these games any longer.

This behaviour will only get worse because bad regs aren't going to suddenly become good regs.

(Actually, I should state that The King left just before the fish sat back in, so he may have had an honest reason for sitting out with the fish.)

The only way I found to get stars stop the seat blocking that occurred from multiple scripters was to basically make that "shaming" video. Tbh you may have to do something similar here if you really want to enact some action. May i recommend anything put to benny hill music.

Maybe Michael Josem will make another graph and show is it really isn't a problem?

Maybe the players can discuss at the next player meetings?

You can click sitout all tables next bb and it won't close the tables that hit bb first so you can take breaks normally without losing any tables

precisely this. I pushed for it forever on party and every site should have it. Helps with the scumminess of online poker.

Would be more seamless than party if they simply had two buttons only. Sitout all tables next bb, or sitout this table and leave next bb. And if you want to leave early before the orbit then just close the table. That's what I tried to get party to do but they did it a bit more complex but it still works well.

Benny Hill video the only solution at this point. Stars don't care or are too incompetent to realise how simple the solution is.

I start a table at 25nl, some reg jumps in and sits out because no recs are on the table yet. It's so absurd. I tell them to play or gtfo, why would a rec join a dead table... but they don't leave, so I start another table...

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'd expect there to be a better chance of a people joining with two of you at the table rather than one - not everyone is comfortable playing HU.

Not if one is sitting out. Maybe it looks like the game has just broken, maybe recs don't like being obviously bumhunted, dunno. But definitely takes way longer for a game to start with someone sitting out.

Wouldnt agree with that.

Furthermoar iirc its legal (at least for now) if 2 players are at the table and one is sitting out. Once a 3rd guy joins and plays the sit out guy has to leave or play as well. At least thats how i understandthe rules atm.

This thread was specifically created to fight the masssitouts once a fish is on sitout btw
