Anyone know anything about Betonline? Anyone know anything about Betonline?

03-23-2012 , 10:55 PM
every thread i read after searching is bad about it, mostly can't withdraw money? Any one currently playing and has withdrawn money via bank transfer or western union?

Any other sites have the "voucher method" for deposit? only good thing i've seen on betonline so far and why id like to use it.

Avoid betonline like the plague. They are notorious for seizing people's accounts and all the money in them.
08-21-2012 , 05:56 PM
I've been on betonline site for about 6 weeks now. I've run up a bankroll of 9.1k from initial $500 deposit.

I've now looking to withdraw some funds. I've sent all the neccessary paperwork to their documents dept. I'm still awaiting responses and am getting very worried, given the number of problems reported on this site.

I'll update in the next few days and report on whether or not I receive my funds. Fingers crossed!

My feedback to date on the site is that:
Disadvantages:
The s/w gui is poor (compared to full tilt),
the number of players and games is very low,
there are a huge number of disconnections,
sometimes players seem to disconnect when in trouble spots in a hand and this then deems them as all-in and essentially protects the rest of their stack (one player has done this repeatedly to me and it's always when we're both big stacked and he's in trouble in a hand - user name is pokeher or something similar, maybe with some digits on the end),
the rake is high,
there is no rakeback,
HUD is not supported on this site.

Advantages:
I live in state of Washington and this is the only site that accepts players!
the quality of play seems very bad.
HUD is not supported on this site - note: this is both a disadvatnage and an advantage! If I cant use it then at least I know others are not using it on me!

So despite the overwhelming number of disadvantages this is my only option if I want to continue to live in Washington and play poker.
Here's hoping my cashout comes thru - I'm already owed money from fulltilt poker debacle.

Good luck buddy.

Betonline are giving me the run around also re. payouts.
I have sent them my credit card details 5 times now and each time they come back and say it's not been received. They received all the other info no problem.
I cant get hold of support, and they never callme - just the generic email stating that c card not received.
I'm re-sending it twice daily now and getting more and more concerned with them. I dont know what else to do at this point.

rummikub I've played with you in the last couple weeks at the 5/10 50BB game. Easy game. Avoid Tilttits and poker ho. BTW Pureprofit is a rock and be careful of noa on the river. He always slows down on the river big time. BTW I took pictures of my documents on my iphone and emailed them in. 2 days later I got a confirmation email. Sorry you are having trouble.

BTW 2 months ago there was a problem where people had deposited money and it wouldn't allow them to transfer it to poker. People said it was a conspiracy attempting to get people to play their casino games.

thanks for the feedback centurion.
i'll prolly stayclear of those guys - although i have played with pokerpro a fair bit and so far have had good success v him.
So good news - after sending in my c card a 6th time, I finally got confirmation that it had been received.
I then went to request a payout but got an error:
"existing freeplay balance o freeplay pending wager"
support told me that i needed to use my freeplay before i could do a payout. they also told me about rollover stuff requirements - all very complicated. As u can prolly tell I dont bet on sports - only on myself when playing sports or poker.
Therefore i got suport to cancel my freeplay and supposedly now i can do a payout. am gonna try right now.
Damn this process is convoluted. It's been over 2 weeks since I first tried!
09-04-2012 , 03:00 PM
i still havent been able to process a payout thru betonline. freeplay offers were previously obstructing the payout. I got support to remove both (-v painful process). Now i get "customer is not over their rollover amount"
09-04-2012 , 03:02 PM
ok support have fixed that. my payout application has now gone thru. Whole process is very slow, painful and frustrating. I've asked for a bankwire - lets see how long that takes.
I know i will be charged for a bankwire also.

update:
my payout request was cancelled. No email, nothing. i just checked on the status with support and was told it was cancelled. Reason: payouts cost $75.00 and i didnt have that in my sports book acct, after requesting the payout amount in full.
Therefore I have to start the process again - which Ihave just done.
Again, I needed to get support to cancel the freeplay bonus before the payout request could go thru.
So, now I have to wait another 10business days - hopefully by then i will get paid. I will update this site once I know more.
To date, the process has been painfully slow, terribly documented on the process to follow, support awful - just get automated response to email (-need to go onto the live chat to get any response and this fails 60% of the time to work), i needed to send my docs 7 times before they acknoledgeled receipt of all of them.
All this has taken over 3 weeks and I'm still at least 10 business days away from payment - assuming (and this is a huge doubt) that everything goes smoooth from this point on.
Damn, this site sucks!
I cant wait until full tilt and others open up to the us market again...

latest on my payout.
I was promised to be paid within 10 business days. It's been 10 bus days now and, of course, i still havent recevied anything. i just checked with their support. they told me that they are having problems with bankwire payouts and there is no timeline for resolution!
Unbelievable. This should be illegal. So annoying. I'm owed 12.5k from them now.
I chatted to a fellow player yesterday who has been waiting for 31 bus days now for payout!
i dont really know what to do now, other than wait. any suggestions? i want to report them or sue them but dont know how to proceed.

I suggest not doing bankwire with them as that seems to take the longest.

I've cashed out many many of times on BetOnline, included a over a 1,000$ on a 50$ freeplay they gave me. Usually western union or moneygram gets paid in 3 - 4 days ... I'd go that route if at all possible.

Also you have to read the rules / requirements of bonuses before taking one, on betonline if you take the 20% instant bonus sure you can use it in the pokerroom , but you will only clear it by betting like 8x's your deposit + bonus in the sportsbook.

As for the cancelled payout do to not having enough to cover the cost in your sportsbook.... that's your bad not the site, once again know the rules. They have a helpful live chat via the website click on (help) then scroll to the bottom. If you try to access it via pokerroom you will have to have X amount of money in your account.

The live chat is painfully slow and annoying, but they always clear up the trouble or get you to someone who can. I verified my documents over livechat with one of their reps that handles verifications.

So bank wires take forever to process but the bottom line is you WILL get your money eventually? Is that correct?

Absolutely , i have been paid numerous times there, and regardless of all the negative feedback from poker players they have no bad feedback on the sportsbook side.

This tells me some of these accounts being locked are for good reason , and some are people complaining for not reading the fine print of bonuses , you have to clear bonuses by making sportsbets.

I would always cashout via moneygram / western union and contact them via live chat ( from the website not the poker software or you need 250$ in your account) and ask about the 50$ off withdraws one per friday. Also make sure your account is verified ( sending all the verification docs ) if you need help you can go to the live chat and ask to speak to someone for the verification process. I did this over life chat.

If you chose bank wire it will take some time , I'd go multiple western union / moneygram cashouts ... will cost more but me alot quicker.

Seriously, look out for the fine print at any poker room.

Many have a clause to the effect that they can confiscate your funds for any reason.

latest on my payout - or non-payout:
so i was informed of problems with bankwires, via email on sept 24th.
then today on sept 28th i received another email stating bankwire had failed.
Now they will initiate a money order for the payout. Support tell me that this takes up to 7 business days. Therefore I should have the money order by Oct 8th,at the latest. I will report back letting you know if they hit or miss this latest deadline.
SO FRUSTRATING!!!
Also, I cannot initiiate any other payouts until this one is processed.
09-28-2012 , 05:35 PM
note: the date that i first tried to initiate a payout was 8/21.
It's now 9/28 and i'm still waiting!
09-28-2012 , 07:48 PM
I will say this once again , I cannot stress it enough.

Do not use bankwire withdrawels at BetOnline .... use any other method.

I prefer moneygram / western union
10-15-2012 , 03:59 PM
ok i feel its only fair to update this forum letting you know that i did get paid today.
So the site does still have some legitamacy. Of course the whole payout process is overly complicated, bankwires dont work and there are inefficiencies at every stage in the payout process but at least they did honor the payment (-assuming their checks don't bounce, that is!). I will continue to play to play on this site 'cos the games are so weak and I'm killing it - but i still hope for full tilt to get back up and running in the states again...
10-17-2012 , 05:17 PM
so i got a load of moneygrams/western union checks thru fed ex. turns out that none of the checks were signed! i took them to the bank and they were v suspicious. i coud fill them in myself and sign them but the bank cant validate them and told me that at any time up to a year the initial check writer could cancel the checks! It seems crazy that they send checks unsigned but support have just told me that this is the way they do. so ok i guess. it just seems very surprising and i still have many doubts over the legitamacy of this site. nevertheless i have got paid - allbeit it took over a month and a lot of frustration!
10-19-2012 , 03:10 PM
My frustrations with betonline poker continue.
I have over 12k still on their site and have been told that the only way to currently withdraw funds is to place payout requests for moneygrams, one at a time, for a max of $950.00. this means that i have to place a request, wait 7 business days for its arrival, and then place another one. meaning that i have to wait over 70 business days to get my funds in full!!! their bankwire or checks do not currently work. I was previously extended a courtesy by upper management to get the previous multiple checks - they will not do this again despite over 2 hours of chats with their support staff and accounts mgr - they closed the chat sessions multiple times but i reconnected and refused no for an answer! Of course, that's what i ended up getting though.
what is everyone esle doing for payouts from this site? if you're playing 5-10 and are a winning player then how are you getting your money from this site? surely you are not pulling $950.00 at a time?
please let me know.
i would like to initiate a lawsuit against them until they provide a proper means of giving players access to their money.
anyone have any ideas of what the best approach to take on this is?
Thank you.
10-20-2012 , 11:44 PM
Tried to tell you , moneygram.... it sucks , you will get hit an outrageous rate for the installments but it is THE ONLY way you will get your money.

Bringing a lawsuit up will probably just get your money stolen.

I have stuck up for BetOnline in the past as they have always done good business by me , but now I must state they have screwed me on a multi table tourney buy in , rebuy, and an add on when their software stated " tourney is stopped due to technical difficulty " They won't refund, and are saying nothing went wrong.
11-12-2012 , 04:44 PM
i'm still waiting on a 9.5k payment from them. I've sent countless emails - am getting ignored.
12-19-2012 , 05:16 PM
Hey Rumm, ive played some with you on BO also. Sucks but only way is WU and MG. If you play 5/10 then yea it sucks. I did for a bit and some plo but that was when the had 2500 for Wu cashouts so I got it quick. Ive had no problems with them except for a check one time. I had to cancel. If you have a bank wire pending now, do yourself a favor and cancel and cashout Wu and MG max each once a week. Only safe option. glgl
