Anyone know anything about Betonline? Anyone know anything about Betonline?

I'm playing it at the moment and they've got a decent selection of freerolls almost every hour.

BetOnline states they are an independent Network but they are actually on the 'Action Poker Network' which has a history of not paying players and affiliates. That being said, BetOnline reportedly has control over their Cashier and is not dependent on Action Poker to make Cashouts.

I've confirmed they are on the Action Poker Network by opening both Action Poker and BetOnline at the same time and comparing the tables, chip stacks, player SN's, cards, etc.....It's unusual that BetOnline would lie about what Network they are on and to me this raises a red flag. Also, they have no Rakeback, a weak Bonus, and close to nonexistent VIP Program that offers very little value. You should have other options even as a US player.

I plan to keep an eye on BetOnline to see what develops with them being on the Action Poker Network and lying about it on numerous other forums and in interviews.

if connected to action poker then just avoid it!

I agree that players should avoid. There are much better options without the risk.

As it was said, they lie about what network they are on and no one can think of a good reason why (is there one?) I think Action approached them with a deal and they took it. This is a way for APN to have US players online and help get cash flowing again.

If you want to give your action to a shady operation like this, no one will stop you. But the best advice until they start giving out answers is to stay far away. Too bad they are risking the book's reputation over all the poker stuff.

That might be the first two sentence thread title Ive ever seen.

I've seen the whole clearing bonus threads but I'm playing poker on it and didn't take a bonus...besides that I've read a pretty good amount of good reviews about them but I can't find any Reviews that are very recent

BetOnline says they are on a proprietary Network(Hero Poker Network) in multiple interviews and on other Forums. It's been proven that they are not on their own Network but are in fact on the Action Poker Network. Action Poker Network hasn't paid players or affiliates in the last few months.

Supposedly BetOnline uses their own Cashier, but they have already mislead players by claiming to be on a Network they aren't.

The software they use freezes constantly and is missing some key features.

They also have no real Bonus and no Rakeback, just sayin'.

Software is unbearable. Regular disconnects, definitely not on my end. There is some weird glitch where any time I sit or move tables in a tourney, it auto-sits me and won't let me sit until I restart the client and do it manually. I was hoping they'd fix these sorts of things shortly after opening the poker room, but nope. The interface is just super ****ty. Rarely do I refuse to play on a site solely because of the software, but it just tilts me to no end.

Ok besides the software are they legit? Will I get paid? I like how they have a good sports book too

Well, the Action Poker Network hasn't been paying players or affiliates for a long time.

That being said, I was told by BetOnline that they have complete control over their Cashier. The problem is, they also said they were on a proprietary Network, and they aren't.

I should add that out of all the players that haven't been paid on the Action Poker Network, I haven't seen any from BetOnline, but that's very likely because BetOnline is only a few months old in their Poker Room operations.

Pretty sure they still have an A- financial rating on SBR. Don't have the link, but check out their review there. Last I checked, check payouts were being received within 2 weeks. They definitely don't use Action's cashier system.

Betonline is a SCAM. i advise any one in the online poker community to stay away from it. The software is terrible. Frequently crashes and must restart. Payouts take almost a month and thats after you send them 100 documents proving who you are. The Poker game itself is seriously ridiculous. Never seen a site that gives out more quads then this one. I see atleast 10 quads every time im on. No exaggeration.

Let me guess, in this podcast he states they are a new poker room on a brand new network??

I contacted "Hero Poker Network" myself and they swear there is no relation to BetOnline.

I haven't played poker there, but I use them for sports betting and have cashed out several times by check with no problems.

You just never know what thread's going to bring someone out to make their first post after 5 1/2 years here.

If there was a like button, I would click it.

I haven't cashed or deposited on BetOnline personally, but I have some friends that have sucessfully completed deposits and cashouts on the site. We live in the US, and supposedly everything went smoothly. With that said, I feel the site is legit.
09-07-2011 , 12:43 PM
Seriously? No one is gonna call out this post for being some of the most obvious shilling possible??

Hey, BetOnline guy...why don't you tell us why you are sharing tables with the Action Poker Network, and lying about it?
