Two immediate things that every player should do:

1) Withdraw all funds except for the bare minimum required to play. This should be standard in this day and age anyway but I have many friends that still kept large rolls on Stars for convenience. This has to stop. The new Stars may limit withdrawals, charge fees, or cease to segregate funds. Your money is NOT safe.

2) Spread the word to all your friends about these new changes, how stars is under new ownership and is trying to screw players left and right, and that they should explore other sites if they're interested in playing online poker.

Amaya may not realize how small the poker world is and just how quickly their brand reputation can fizzle. Stars was by no means the first #1 online poker site, and they won't be the last.

Whats happening with 6 max regular and turbo formats?
What can we expect in VIP program changes next year and year after?
Are you planning to increase RB% for all the levels???

I get why you are doing this change (more rake = more money for you, you take out us regulars and you get more recreationals and constant depositors on the site) but this way you will just drive thousands of regulars to other sites.
The only way for all of this to work is to increase RB that you give back to players. You have to find a way to motivate regulars to stay. Spin and goes probably brought more players on the site but it also massively reg infested other games. Are you really going to turn Poker Stars into Casino type of site where all the traffic will be dead on other games just Spin and Goes will be only thing left?

if you go to a proper rake back affiliate the rake back you get is usually exceeding or directly equal to that offered to SNEs.

there is also the fact that you have to measure confidence and what statements mean.

most of the games targeted here are the highest rake generators on pokerstars. for any level of hyper turbo sit and go playing 200 games in an hour is possible. for the $74 games 1.45*200 is 290 per player * 6 is $1740. barring the online dead hours this is pretty consistent throughout the day. effectively it nets over $30000 a day. thats over ten million a year. and thats just one stake level. of course you factor in the vip program and etc they take less.

but how many people were inspired by jorj95. to attempt these games at micro stakes hoping to build up there's several articles spread throughout the internet of people talking about strategy for these and forum topics on these.

usually the articles and comments on them are strategically wrong but the scope is there.

by targeting games which are such high rake generators and have such an ability to pull players in they are sending out the message they dont people to be to make profit from poker.

the spin and goes meant to offer very large one hit pay outs if you get lucky are effectively scratch cards there was no way of beating them with RB unless your opponents were totally incompetent. I don't have the exact details to do the comparisons but what is the difference from a scratch card now? in terms of actual outcome?

there is the stance of adaptation but its living in denial. I could give up on the hyper turbo sats and try focus on the hyper turbos for example. or i could focus on tournament poker.

but it reminds me of my ex i loved her. she never loved me though i was just blind to that fact in denial i felt so bad for her because of her horrible past and likely bad future i wanted to be her hero to save her.

throughout the relationship she consistently talked about her ex in negative terms but you dont mention people when they are no longer relevant. eventually he came back on the scene tried to make moves on her. she denied caring for him but went from acting like i was her universe to i was the most flawed piece of **** ever. i tried to improve to be better in any way she criticized me.

but any improvement i made was criticized because you can find a negative in almost anything about someone. i missed the point due to been in denial nothing i did would have been right because she did not want me. the criticisms was reflective of her attitude towards me not her reasons for her attitude when you love someone you make excuses for them when you dont want them you find flaws in them.

pokerstars moves here is more then a simple method to increase there profits it is a direct attack on the philosophy of been able to make a living wage from playing online poker.

like i tried to adapt to my ex, rather stupidly in reflection you can now try to adapt to these changes to seek more profitable games to find other ways to make money from the site. but the fact is rightly or wrongly they do not want the winning player anymore and will find ways however you adapt to attack those areas.

like i should have given up on my ex a lot sooner if you think it through you have to give up on pokerstars. however you adapt they will find a way to make it harder for you they dont want winners.

You can change much more than your currency exchange limit by

- setting € (or whatever) as your main currency in the stars client
- sit with the whole $ amount you want to change at some micro FLH table
- leave the table
- have the whole $ amount changed to € (or whatever)
