Hej guys with the decline in standard sites like FTP and PS I am wondering about the network called Aconcagua. I looked it up on pokerscout on it looks like the network had a solid 1,8k players online at that time.

http://www.iaconcaguapoker.net/

On the site it looks like they are the main network work the South American players. So can anyone give me any info about this site? I have not found anything on 2+2 or anywhere public so is this network safe, playable? They sure seem to be promoting poker in all the "vamos brothers" countries and spaniards always seemed very spewy and juicy. Please do tell your toughts.

I have no experience playing there. I see they are licensed in Curacao. That in itself is not a positive point.

established september 2015. I wouldn't put much money on that site. And how did you come up with 1.8k players? Scout says 24hr peak is 787 and avg 350.

Last I checked, if you didn't live in South America, you weren't welcome to play there.

So it seems like some agents can create an account for you on these south american sites. You need the account from the right country in order to play for real moneys - which is either brasilian real or argentinian peso. Only if your account is registered from the right country you can view and play real money, otherwise only play money. Does anyone have any more info? Is it safe? Or is it DOLLARO all over again?

Hi!, I'm from Argentina and I play on the network since a while ago. Here you have some useful info: the site was originally created in Argentina, so one credit (that are shown in CHP, for "chips") are equal to one peso -> 1 CHP : 1 Argentine Peso (few months ago they added Brazilian currency too). The room grew up a lot and started to expand to other south american countries, although the player pool is composed mainly by argentinian players.

There's no payment processors (you can't withdraw or deposit on the room by yourself) so the way to deposit or cashout is giving the money personally to an agent or ask him to withdraw, who then will add or deduct the credits to/from your account. I never had problems for cashouts, they're usually fast.

The level is super soft (one of the most profitables sites I play since there're few regs and a lot of south american fishes), with good tables running almost all day (with peak during argentinian evenings/nights). I don't know with certainty if the MTTs or SNG are similar in traffic since I play only cash.

Well, I play formats that are not offered on the network anyway, so I prefer not to deal with it at least unless and until I actually move to South America.

I hope I'm wrong but this sounds like it could end badly.

Games must be softer than 2007 to give my money to a random person who I haven't even met to be able play this site. And even if everything gos fine and you get the cash to play how do you know you gonna get it back if you win? Can't the 'agent' just screw you and take the cash instead? Needs to be a big reliable aff to play the agents part imo.

Yeah the games there are really soft, but do not run 24/7 and there is not enough traffic yet.

hi, are the sites paying you guys? A big affiliate (lol) told me that currently Aconcagua is not safe to play on since they are not paying players. Any truth?

I know there's a cap on monthly winnings, like 3k or 5k I don't remember quite well.
I don't know whether they are paying or not, but I just lurked around on big affiliate sites and no one have a deal on Aconcagua, so it might be true
