888 Rep

Can you please clarify wagering $500.

Also is there a way we can track this. Say we start early in the day. Can support let us know where we stand for the day?

Yet the traffic is solid but not great.

I wish the traffic would pickup here, especially at 1/2 and above. The player pool is pretty small on this site at anything above 25/50 so you're playing with a lot of the same players at certain times of the day. Not the worst thing in the world, but it would be great with more traffic and more games running simultaneously.

The tourney traffic is weak on the midsized buy in's as well. They either just don't make the guarantee or go a touch above it, so the value isn't really there.

It's still pretty much the only site I play on, but I'm signed up on most of the others. Really like 888's software and promotions though, but I'm gonna have to diversify a little at least for tourneys until the traffic picks up.

I think by summer 888 will be relatively bumping though. At least we hope haha.

The rakeback promotion sounds great, but please get some competent support. I played more than 30 raked hands on Monday, but on Tuesday I never got my ticket activation e-mail. I e-mailed support and they reply that since 24 hours passed, the tickets expired. Well, sure, but I was never able to activate/use them. And if they expire after 24 hours, how come I can use them 9 hours after I earned them?

I finished playing at about 11 p.m. and then tried to register for tourneys at 8 p.m., but I had no tickets. They gave me the same gibbeish about GMT. That I earned my tickets at 12:55 a.m. GMT, which is 7:55 a.m. EST, but I was long asleep by then. I earned them by 11 p.m. EST, then went to bed.

I played the same amount last night, but no ticket activation e-mail again today. This is the same runaround I got with the $10,000 tourney tickets.

The rep here is great and very helpful, but the support staff is either automated or they all have learning disabilities.

>John, after reviewing your account I'm seeing that you did earn your 24 24 hour promotion tickets on the 14th of January 12:55am GMT which is 7:55 am your time.
Unfortunately, your ticket were expired on the 15th of January at 12:55am GMT which is 7:55am your time. The tickets only last for 24 hours.

Sorry to do it, but I have to report another glitch in the software.

On the Mounty Misery Brook 25/50 cent table UTG.

I fold.

Next hand I would be BB, but the player "The Rake" sitting to my immediate right sits out before the hand is dealt.

Instead of being BB alone, or 1 BB, I become SB.

Hand #438698627 was the UTG hand. THe glitch hand was #438698640.

Yeah I wasn't able to receive my additional freeroll tickets either. I just chatted with support and she insisted it could take up to 72 hours for me to receive my additional tickets link, but if they expire then that can't correct.

Annoying.

If I shove pre $100 and noone calls, is that $100 wagered?

no one but possibly 888rep knows

technically I would think yes, as long as someone has you covered and could call the bet...not if everyone else has $20

But that sounds hard to program.

It may end up being like that. Or just bets that you make that are called..or bets that you call. Hopefully we will get some guidance before I go to 3/6 NLHE Jan 31 and punt off a $500 stack

If I haven't deposited on 888 yet can I have 80% from this promo and my first deposit bonus running at the same time?

Spoke to an 888rep today on the phone. She told me ALL BETS COUNT TOWARDS $500 WAGER EVEN IF NO ONE CALLS EVEN IF NO ONE AT THE TABLE HAS YOU COVERED. Now don't hold me to this because often times the 888 reps aren't always on the same page. Also told me they cannot track how much you have wagered. Hope this helps.

If we get an answer in this thread, 888rep, please update the promo site terms and conditions as well so we can reference that if any questions arise.

If they cannot track how much we've wagered, then how do they know we've hit the $500 threshold?

Yeah this is a big question. What did the rep say exactly? Did it sound like they can't tell us in real time and would we have to wait until the day is over to find out if we wagered enough?

Edit: Does this 3.5 month promo mean we won't be seeing any new promos for the next 3.5 months? While it is amazing for those that quailify will you still be having promos to lure in new players who didn't take part in this. Even if promos in the next few months exclude or give a reduced rate to those who quailified to the 80%, I still hope promos are run to attract new players.

LOL I am a fan of 888 and their promos are great but what is with their reliance on email for everything?

For example in order to get the 80% rakeback you have to click on a link in your email that you are supposed to get weekly, in order for it to be credited to your account. If you forget for a week, you lose that week's rakeback.

Same with the 24/7 freeroll tix, why not just credit them to your account once you've played the 30 hands/5 tournaments etc., and have each set work for 24 hours from using the first one?

who cares, click the link and get your money.

they're a business, their goal is to attract customers and make money, not to just hand out 100% free money.

when you have to get the email and click the link there are going to be A. some people who do not know the promo exists or forget to click the link B. you can mention new promos and other things in the email (free marketing)

I was reading their bonus policy here: http://us.888poker.com/banking/bonus-policy/

And the chart near the bottom states that poker table games only count 20% towards wagering requirements. Does this mean that we need to wager $2500 in a single day to meet the requirements or will just $500 be enough?

Yeah I get it however it leads to problems where some people don't get the emails, etc. Already seeing issues with the 24/7 freerolls where some have gotten the email with more tickets after playing 30 raked hands, and some haven't. Running everything via email just adds to the confusion (and burden on their customer support as people call to say where's my tickets/where's my rakeback $ etc.)

I believe so. I think once you click the link it activates your tickets and you have 24 hours from that point to use them.

Of course I could be wrong....hopefully the 888 rep can answer your question.
