For reference, previous answers thread:

1. New things in today's update:

A) Matrix SNGs. Head over to the Sit & Go tab and click on Matrix. You'll find a new kind of tournament where you play four SNGs at once against the same players. There's an overall prize pool (called the Matrix Pool) as well that gets awarded to the players who perform the best in the 4 matches. If you like playing more than one SNG at a time, give these a try. More info can be found here (once the page is updated):

http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/newClientFeatures.php

B) Large Tournament Performance Improvements. After the complaints during the last FTOPS, we focused a lot of resources (to the detriment of features like the ring game filters, which I promise are still coming) into improving the performance of our larger tournaments. Anyone that was having performance issues while playing in large field tournaments should find that everything runs much smoother now.

C) Login With Email Address. The first of a number of upcoming account security features. You can now choose to login with your email address instead of your player name. You'll also notice a new "Security" menu item in the top menu, with the promise of future additions.

D) Player Notes Changes. When you first log in, your player notes ".dat" file will be converted to an xml file. This allows you to view your notes in plain text. You can pretty easily mess up the format of the file, making it unusable, so don't go around editing it directly too much (if at all).

E) Random minor changes. The chip sliding issue was fixed and a new "Back to Default Size - All" option under the Layout menu was added.

2. Why doesn't your prohibited software list programs?

- The specific programs out there change fairly rapidly. We would prefer to focus on the various ways we prohibit software from working with Full Tilt rather than focusing on the specific programs. If you have any questions about a particular piece of software, write support and they will get back to you with a concrete answer.

3. Fulltilt needs to be more explicit about what is or isn't allowed, so that no player gets their account locked or funds frozen for engaging in activities (either datamining or looking at Sharkscope or Tableratings) that they didn't know was against the rules.

- I realize the current situation with datamining is a little confusing, mostly because it's currently very easy to do it. It's worth noting that our standard operating procedure for this kind of rule breaking is to first issue a warning. Collecting hands you didn't participate in isn't as serious a "poker crime" as, say, collusion, and they aren't treated equally. So if you're worried that your account will be locked and your funds confiscated just because you datamined for a while, that won't happen.

Having said that, we strongly discourage the practice and will very likely someday put actual software features in place that will curtail it. I'm pretty sure we've heard all of the arguments for and against it, and we want to make sure we can confidently address them all before taking a harder line.

Sharkscope and Tableratings would fall into the same category of "strong discouragement" but not something that will get your account locked and funds seized.

4. is there a reason you only answer questions about once a month?

- It helps keep me sane.

5. Please consider adding the current day's Ironman points total to the cashier page.

- We've thought about adding an "odometer" that you can reset any time you'd like. I'll look into the state of that project.

6. it is IMPERATIVE that you allow bank wires for amounts smaller than 20k

- I asked around about this, and I was assured that this was coming soon. I believe it could be within a month, but these things have a habit of slipping sometimes.

7. Make Player Notes accessible from the Lobby when they are registered in a sng.

- This is planned.

8. What's going on with bank transfer withdraws? Some people are getting the option, some aren't.

- It's still in a testing phase. I believe players are being added regularly to the list.

9. How about adding a 45 player sng between the $26 and $75 buy in, as that's an awfully big gap. $55 seems about right.

- We used to have a $40 + $4 but it didn't get much action. I'll look into the possibility of bringing it (or something like it) back.

10. how about a straddle option on tables? or a bet/check in the dark button?

- No plans for either at the moment. Of the two, straddling is far more likely.

11. One more thing, is there any way to distinguish between NL and PL with the autoreload/auto top off feature? I always want the max while playing NL and always want to rebuy for the max, but I often sit with 40 or 50bb playing PLO and it makes it impossible for me to use the otherwise cool auto topoff feature.

- The feature is already pretty option heavy. We tried to keep it as streamlined as possible. I don't think we'll be splitting it further up any time soon. If you only play one at a time, it should be easy enough to switch between max rebuys and shorter rebuys when you switch games, yeah?

12. Can we get some PLO8 6-Max Sng's?

- Sure.

13. can you make the 24 + 2 HU shootout SnGs non-turbos or add non-turbos

- Yep, added.

14. if it's not too difficult, it would be cool if we could see which waiting lists we're on through the search function. just ourselves, not any player we want to search for.

- I'll look into something like that.

15. Can you guys pls add 6 max limit holdem sngs?

- Done.

16. Several times I've wanted to play someone specific in a HU SNG. Is there a simple way to do this?

- Click fast! There no foolproof way to do it at the moment, no. Mr. Bartley had a good suggestion, though, and we may look into a feature that will allow you to issue heads-up "challenges" at some point. There are a couple of things to work out with that, such as making sure nobody can hassle someone else with requests.

17. Still asking for ability to purchase bonus with full tilt points.

- We still don't have any plans for this, sorry.

18. If I move to South Korea and 9 table all day, will you make me an FTP pro also?

- Probably.

19. Please add cash double/triple shootout tournaments to the schedule.

- Sure. Any particular buyin levels / times of day?

20. Is there any chance a higher bonus level is created to be purchased with ironman medals?

- No plans for this.

21. Any chance of adding a $20 one rebuy one addon on tourney to the schedule? I'm thinking it would be a nice fit at 21:00

- I don't see a great time slot around then. I'll take a look around that time and see if I can squeeze it in somewhere.

22. Can we get 4 max cash games? 6max is just to boring for me and I know many others have wanted this for a long time.

- No immediate plans for this, but I'll submit it as a request with a good number of backers.

23. You guys have 2 player and added the 8 player turbo HU SnG's after i requested them several months ago.
Now im asking if you can please add ... 4 player HU turbo SnG

- Added.

24. Stud turbo sngs

- Sure.

25. is it possible to have a "set" day for when these updates come out?

- It really isn't. I time it for when an update happens or it's been a while. Since updates don't follow a set day, there's no real way to keep a set schedule for these threads.

26. I know you guys have been working on this for like 2 years, I promise if you hire me as a programmer I'll have it done in like 2 weeks max (prob less)

Seriously.

27. Could you add super-turbo HU sngs?

- We'll think about it, so maybe.

28. who was Steve Yea before he was a red pro?

- LuXuryJun1, I believe.

29. Can you add a nightly $24's HU turbo tourny (starting around 21:00ET to 22:30ET)?

- A $10 would fit well at 21:30, a $24 less so. Would that be okay?

Please fix the cash games lobby - it is broken! You seriously need to add some filter possibilities, like stakes and number of seats.

Okay... dunno if this belongs here, but what the...

I updated my client, logged in, it converted my notes file from .dat to .xml and all.
Then i wanted to register for a matrix sng to try it and the client asked me to validate my e-mail adress. So i checked my mails - nothing. I hit "Resend" and client told me my session ended and that i have to restart it. After the restart i want to log in and get this:

Quote:
Your stored player notes could not be read. Your old file has been backed up to C:\****\Full Tilt Poker\******.xml. A new file has been created for future use.
???

//edit

okay, deleted the new .xml file and let the client convert the old .dat again.

1) Please add 180 mans. I know that you've said before that you had problems with them not filling up however the reason is simple! The $2 ones don't fill up because the prize pool is too small--make them 4.40s like Pokerstars does. Higher buyin ones like a $20 level would be cool. If you made them a 24+2 buyin, people would play them and they would fill up since people could play them with tokens.

2) Non-turbo 5.50 27 mans

3) 20+2 27 mans (turbo and non-turbo)

4) 30+3 27 mans (turbos and non-turbos)

5) TURBO 45 mans!

6) Don't ignore me like you always do! LOLOLOLOL

A+ answers Doug! I'll begin planning my move to South Korea immediately. Are any of your pocketkings positions located in Seoul?

Is the new e-mail login perhaps opening the door for the ability to change screen names (since your login is no longer tied to your screen name)? This would alleviate a lot of privacy concerns wrt datamining, sites like Tableratings, etc. The way Party does/did it (one name change every 6 months, at least pre-UIGEA, dunno if it's different now) was pretty solid imo.

This would be cool and there are several ways to handle this. Like a buddylist that contains the players that can challenge you. An option that enables or disables the challenge feature.
Of course the "accept/decline challenge"-window should have a timer, so that you can't click on yes or no accidently when it pops up while playing a bunch of tables.

the lobbys wouldnt actually be that bad if it werent for the custom ironman tables - they make it a mess. seriously seeing 9 empty 5/10 tables with names containing all capitals or no capitals or both numbers and letters is just a mess and so tiltifying lol. fix!

I disagree with this evolving line of thought. In fact, I would feel much more secure and be more inclined to play regularly on your site if this issue was evolving towards the opposite direction.
Instead of banning datamining,IMO, sites should be making it easier for ALL their players to gain the necessary tools for such possibilities. Furthermore, I would like to see sites offer, facilitate, actively promote and regulate internal tracking devices for their players.

I am suggesting that there may be a marketable edge for any online poker site who willingly embraces the ideal that all players should be encouraged to regulate their own games on a site.

I urge your site to consider the advice offered by Mason Malmuth in his book Poker Essays Volume 3 The heading is Keeping Poker Honest "... There is, however, another force at work in all cardrooms which plays an extremely important role in keeping games clean. It is simply the fact that the players play independently of each other, and thus help to police the games themselves"..... Again, they police these games because they are totally on their own and are only interested in their own results. p154"

Datamining allows independent policing of games by players. It ought to be standard operating practice in an online environment for all players. Open and accountable transparency is not such a bad ideal IMO.

cheers,

Doug,

I was at a final table of a 45 SnG when the freeze happened today. Are we going to be paid as a chip-chop? I am assuming so - refunds would be really unfair.

* If the tournament had reached the money - All players still in the tournament at the time of the cancellation will be awarded with the next guaranteed payout and have their tournament fee returned. In addition, the remaining prize pool will be distributed amongst the surviving players based on their chip counts.
