What does it mean to surrender? What does it mean to surrender?

Went through a similar experience one time, but I had just walked away to buy more chips and came back to $300 in front of my seat. It's a good thing I tabled my cards in 'disappointment' to 'show' the Dealer what they did to my high hand on Turn and River.

The players were saying that they should've turned my cards back over when I walked away since I wouldn't have known any better. Nice guys!! GL

That was my very first thought.

Most shocking thing about this post is that someone was playing 6/12 omaha and was not a regular.

The least shocking thing about this post is that the majority of the players could read the hands better than the dealer.

The player walked away from the table. That's relevant. We've certainly had threads where this was discussed before. In this case, it was even intentional.

This really does vary by room, and by floor. Of course, everything varies by floor.

Why is that relevant? The player tabled his hand which means he put in a claim to the pot. Should not matter if he stays seated, goes to the bathroom or jumps from the parking garage.

That's obv. true. If the floor wants to award the pot to the best looking player, or the most deserving player or to a random losing hand, he can do that. Doesn't mean I am OK with that and I really am curious if the gaming commission would be if somebody asked them.
