If that cheater on hustler live dressed in that ridiculous pink pajama outfit all the time we'd mock the heck out of him too, would you then say, "Wonder why we dont have more male poker players"?

Dress to get attention and guess what? You will.

Like anyone should be embarrassed or ashamed for noticing she purposely dresses to distract men when SHE TELLS YOU THAT'S WHY SHE DOES IT.

Stop with the virtue signaling. The only thing "weird" going on is you acting like you're confused or disappointed in how people are talking about a chick who is barely dressed at a table trying to distract guys with her rack and wears bunny ears.

I'm sure a real, cultured man like you didnt even notice her big tits exposed or the bunny ears or the fact she covers up about one fifth of her legs

(attractive) women poker players get tons of comments/attention at the table, not just those that dress like her

There's a reason why the majority of cocktail servers in poker rooms tend to be female

furthering the incongruous/self-defeating factor the get up makes her unattractive to anyone that isn't brain dead on the subject but I'm open to it evolving into something else which it already seems to be doing.

mod: OK folks, either I can move this discussion to a separate thread for you all to continue, or we can just stop talking about it now, but either way, no more posting about this non-weird, non-funny topic in this thread.

Thanks.

was in a game long ago with a out of town tourist Boss Hogg type of guy that knew it all and criticized everyone's play. He started in on me and I said '...your playing 3/6 limit dumba$$, how good do you think these players are?...' and that set him off and he started talking like he wanted to take it to the parking lot.

My reply was '...why go outside? start swinging, right now...' as I leaned into him, he didn't know what to do. So I topped it off by telling him not only was a dumba$$ but a pu$$y also...' he turned red as the setting sun and left. Dealer was laughing so hard she about peed herself.

Just remembered this really weird situation from my Vegas-trip a few weeks ago.

I am at Resorts World playing $1-$3, getting torched obviously, and was only half way paying attention to this hand from the start. So might have some of the details wrong, but to my recollection there was a raise UTG from a non-descript MAWG to $10, maybe a call or two, and an old-ish woman (60 or so?) calls from BB.

Flop ($40): As-Ks-5h or something like that.

Woman leads for $10, and PFR makes one of these terrible min-raises to $20, rest folds and woman calls.

Turn ($80): 5d. Check, bet of $40 or something, woman calls.

River ($160): Ts

At this point PFR has around $210 left, and woman covers. Action is on her and after around 30 seconds with nothing happening, dealer reminds her. She replies:

- "Yes, yes, I know, I am just getting my thinking cap on, I am a bit confused here, so I need a minute" (something of that nature).

Fair enough, so the entire table gives her more time. Another minute or two passes, I can see people are getting impatient, and I look at the tournament clock myself and decide that I will call the clock if nothing happens for another 3 minutes. It is a cash game after all, so there is no need to be a dick about time, although I am stuck and want to play hands.

Still no action after 30 seconds or so, and dealer reminds her again. She once again replies something like "yes, still have my thinking cap on, I am very unsure here".

Another minutes goes by, and another player has had enough and calls the clock. Woman has at this point double checked her cards at least 3-4 times, including once very recently, but doesn't really seem any closer to a decision. At this point, I am starting to understand what is likely going on. She then turns towards her opponent to speak:

- "I am still very confused here, If I check, will you bet?

- "No" he replies, "because I have seen your cards when you lifted them up."

He then shows the table AA for a full house and throw it face up into the muck, folding his cards. Woman obviously shows QsJs for the Royal Straight Flush, and drags the pot having missed out of $210 extra by acting insane and not protecting her cards.

She later proceeded to give away all her winnings from this hand (and others) and clearly went on tilt towards the end of her session. Whether it was caused by the above hand or not, I am honestly not sure of. She didn't seem very upset afterwards, but kept saying she never had such a big hand before etc. So clearly she completely blacked out by having such a strong hand - although to be fair she didn't really seem 'all there' in some other interactions as well.

At least the guy with AA was happy about saving over $200!

This isnt the best entry in this thread by any means but didn't know where else to put it:

Playing poker last night i folded a big hand in a close spot in part because someone was shaking and I thought it meant they were nervous excited etc.

They turned over top boat and I feel smug. I also show and they ask me WTF. I mention the shaking thing.

Back when people still read physical books I was playing with a young kid who had a copy of Read em and Reap, which is a book on poker tells, with him on the table. He wasn't reading it, it was just on display. Perhaps he read it while waiting for a seat. He got into a hand with an old guy sitting next to me. YG bets, OG thinks for a second and throws out a raise. His hands were shaking badly as he did it. YG does an exaggerated hand shake to mock him and tosses in TPTK face up.

I could see OG's hand and he had two undercards to the board, no draw. He just had shaky hands all the time.

I thought about telling YG to re-read the chapter on baseline behavior but he busted and left before I got around to it.

i have essential tremor, my hands shake all the time whenever i'm doing something that requires them to act normal such as take a photograph or hand out a business card, & putting chips in while playing a big pot, gives off all kinds of false tells but it's usually accurate because i often have the goods if i'm playing a big pot

In 1983-1984 at the Commerce Casino, a guy flipped the $25/$50 lowball table over. The players claimed they had roughly twice the chips that were recovered.

This was pre cameras.

lol I was erring on side of folding (I overbet pot with 55 on 5 A Q Q 7 in a 3b pot and got raised huge on river), but would be a massive lie if I said the live Parkinson's tell didn't affect my decision.

I am usually oblivious to temperature. It either has to either be really hot or really cold before I will even notice it. Even then, I don't seem to think about it . There have been plenty of times where I have sweat pouring off of me and do not even notice. I am literally oblivious.

So I remember playing at Imperial Palace one time back in the day. It is like 120 outside. I remember I wasn't intending to play poker, I was out with friends on the strip and it just sort of happened. So I am wearing shorts and a t-shirt. So of course they have the AC cranked on high. I am sitting under a vent freezing my butt off, but I do not realize it. I get into a hand with the player next to me. I don't remember much but it was a hand that wasn't huge, but we both spent a lot of time thinking and acting deliberately. So even though the pot was probably only $60 or $70 it played out slowly and each of us paused and thought things through on each street. Just one of those thinking hands.

Anyway, we get to the river and one of us bets and the other calls. Immediately before we can show our hands, a player at the other side of the table stands up and says "Straight flush versus quads!!!!". Everyone at the table looks at him but sort of nods in agreement.

We end up turning up out hands and it was nothing like that. It was probably three of a kind versus top pair or some weak stuff like that.

The guy on the other end of the table was disappointed and he says that both of us were shaking like crazy. He thought we both had huge hands. Everyone else at the table sort if agrees that we both shook a couple of times while either thinking or betting.

The other player and I started laughing. We both sort of realized that we were both freezing our asses off. We were both under a vent wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The AC was cranked so high and blowing on us and we did not realize that we were literally shaking as we sat there.

Bad read dude.

ok, here's one. Two old nit regulars in a big, giant pot, can't remember the hand exactly but it was like nut flush over set and the set filled up on the river. Old dude that took the beat with the nut flush just stares at the board, stunned for a while, then tries to rip his cards in half. Only the cards wouldn't rip, they were the plastic Kem's or something pretty tough.

So, frustrated and shaking with anger he pulls his lighter out of his pocket and sets his cards on fire! All this has been going on pretty much unnoticed because the dealer was pushing this huge pot, gathering the rest of the cards, picking up the toke, etc. He then acts like nothing happens and tries to just nonchalantly play the next hand. When the dealer realizes what has happened he called the floor over who immediately 86's the old dude.

Reminds me of the cards used in LA in the early/mid-80s. Some players could karate chop a card and make it shatter,

This made my day. 🙂 I don't have parkinson's but I'm young with occasional tremors and am pretty sure it's landed me a few tough calls. Otoh it might have just because I generally play bad. I'm taking the w.

Early in the evening a group of guys are at the casino for a bachelor party. It included two older gentlemen who were the groom's uncles. Thry have a nice meal and a bunch end up at a $1/$3 table. After a few hours only the two uncles are left. I think all of the younger guys went off to do bachelor party things and the uncles did not want to intrude so they stay to play poker. They were drinking and needling each other and generally having a good time.

A hand comes up where someone raises to $10 and there are a couple of callers including the uncles in seats 4 and 5. Flop comes out 2 6 7 rainbow. A player bets, first uncle raises, 2nd uncle calls the raise. Everyone else folds including the initial raiser.

The turn is a king. 1st uncle bets, 2nd uncle calls. River is another 2. 1st uncle is sitting there thinking and says out loud "I should go all in because I can see your cards and you have jack high so you can't call." The 2nd uncle then answers with "I would call because I can see your cards and you missed your straight draw and you only have 9 high. Why do you think I have been calling you dummy?"

Both players start chuckling and turn over their hands. Sure enough the 1st has 89 and the 2nd has J10.

The whole table just goes crazy with laughter. They both admitted they could see each others cards.

Between bouts of laughing, I warn them that they shouldn't look at each others cards and they should say when they can see them. They both plead innocent and say pretty much simultaneously say that the other is a drunk idiot and is holding their cards in such a way that they cannot help but see each others cards. This causes another round of laughter.
