Borgata 1-2, very early New Year's Day...I'm in the BB, four or five limpers plus me with trash to the flop. Checks around. Turn checks around. River checks around. UTG mucks, followed quickly by all the other limpers. The dealer was kinda "Uhhh, OK" as he pushed me the pot. No way I had the best hand (good chance I was playing the board), but suddenly I was the only one with cards.

Charity poker room, 50 dollar donkament. I am in the bathroom right before the tourney is about to start and two younger Chaldean kids come in. They are having a super annoying, Bro conversation and I think to myself, "I hope they are not at my table". So obviously when I sit down, out of 7 tables, I find myself seated directly in between both of them. No big deal, that is what headphones are for. The dealer at this table is notorious for being insanely fast and robot like. As soon as action is on you he stares you down with the his hand open. So Hand #1, action is on Bro #1 who takes his whole 15k tourney stake over the betting line and drops a few chips for a raise. Dealer informs him that he is all in and leaves the stack in the middle. I muck. Bro #2 who is barely paying attention because the tourney just started, looks up and robot dealer is staring him down "it will be your whole stack". The kid is super confused and pushes his stack in. Everyone folds. Dealer announces two all ins, flip your cards etc. The two kids freak out. This all happened within maybe ten seconds. Bro #1 had AQ, Bro #2 79o. Dealer runs the board out before they even know what happened. Bro #2 loses and is dazed "I thought you were counting my stack". He is yelling at his friend "why did you go all in!!". But the best part was I guess they rode together because Bro #2 sat directly behind his friend for the next two hours just stewing.

At Jack Casino in Cleveland when this situation occurred:

At the 1/3 NL table. Very friendly. Good action. Very apparent drunk man sits down next to me and picks up his cards off the table and about 6 inches from his face. I politely advise him he might want to keep his cards on the table so others don't see his hand. He then yells at me "Don't look, then" about 5-6 times.

OK...

He calls a small raise in position and it's heads up to a flop. Calls a $5 bet. Both check fourth and fifth streets. Opponent says Ace High and tables AK. Drunk man then sees his hand and tries to bet $10. Dealer informed the drunk man he checked. It then takes him 1 minute before he flips up his hand... a straight flush. He checked back a straight flush. He made a 10-high straight flush with 96 spades on the river and wins about a $18 pot.

Everyone is just looking at each other like "WTF is going on."

He only plays 3 or 4 more hands before security is called over and escorts him out. They also ask him "How did you get those chips," implying he stole someone else's money.

In those 3-4 hands, he dropped his cards, and they fell off the table. He also never properly put in the $3 preflop for a call, even though the dealer kept reminding him. He would put in $4, $6, $7 but never $3 LOL. He ended up donking off about $120 or so before being told to leave. He also took about 30 seconds before acting each time.

That is a quality capper to the story.

1/3 NL game. Im in seat 1 sitting next to a friendly dealer who also plays in the game.

Im delt KK in a multi way pot on the button. I open to $17 over the top of 3 limpers, 2 limpers call and we go 3 ways to Flop:

AAx. Check check to me. I bet $20 and both players call which has me confused but this is an action game/weekend night and so we go to the turn 3 ways.

3rd Ace. A A X A

Now the dealer is overly interested in whats going on and im still sorta confused and have written off my hand as another KK in the dust.......when I lift up my cards to maybe muck as now there is a turn bet of $10 and and raise to $25.....tiny in relation to the pot and as i'm holding my KK up as a proud "fold trophy" so dealer and seat 2 can both see both of them look at me and the board and the "Bad Beat" jackpot (only like $10,000 total) and their bodies stiffen right up like they just seen a fricken ghost.......

This is when it hits me, We just hit a Bad Beat and I have the loosing hand! One of these clowns has QQ or JJ and the other has the Ace and I have KK and my hand qualifies for the big piece($5k) and so I just smooth behind the turn bet of $20.

River is another brick and they both just check to me. Now Im confused. So I take my time and bet $50 expecting to get raised. Instead both players instantly Snap fold their hands and I win the $125 or so pot. Im thinking WOW!!, its real.....the run bad is REAL!!! Nobody had Ak or AQ or AJ or A 10 I think A9 was still good for the "kicker has to play rule"..........close but no cigar Mister@! #stuck for the session stuck for a lifetime

Last night at Commerce. Playing against an old dude.

I ship it on the turn with Kh10h massive over-bet on Ad2s3hAh in a hand he'd limped into. I'm really in tune with his range and know there are no aces he's limping.

He tanks forever (this is 3rd time tonight I've overbet/jammed the pot against him HU) and calls. River bricks and I show my hand. He shouts out I KNEW YOU HAD NOTHING THAT'S WHY I CALLED YOU WITH THIS HAND and tables J5o. I win the pot with king high.

Just FYI, this is chip dumping and it's not entirely uncommon in small stakes tournaments.

There is zero chance that this was a chip dump imo.

There can sometimes be legitimate strategic reasons for chip dumping. For example, if you have players trying to fold their way into the money and you want to get those blinds and antes, you might chip dump to the small stack to keep the bubble alive.

It's similar to the idea of playing faster when players are sitting out. It's all about the blinds and antes--you want to pick up as much of that dead money as you can before the sit-outs come back to the table.

I have experience some weird and funny moment when playing at a room. One of the player is so drunk and keep playing that later on he fell asleep. We try to wake him up but no luck his in deep sleep.

Odd but not funny. This doesn't seem like it should be freaky rare but has only happened to me once in 35 years of play (that I know of):

I'm all-in pre with K-K and I'm up against two opponents. Hands are tabled. They both have Q-Q.

Saw a slightly funny version of this. 3 way all-in preflop KK vs KK vs 99.

Once saw AA, KK, QQ, QQ and AK dealt in the same hand. 9-handed table lol.

One time saw 3 flops, first was A,A,A second was K,K,K and the third was Q,Q,Q. Entire table was disappointed the the fourth wasn't J,J,J.

Its about 9am at my local casino and im in a lively 5/10 PLO game, and in walks some middle eastern guy, suited up and says to the floor "i want to play the biggest game you have". they point over to our table, and he comes over. he sits down and pulls up £10k all in casino game chips (they have cash chips for poker that are different to pit game ones but both play) so we know hes going to be action.

he gets dealt his 3rd card and looks all confused, turns out he doesn't know this is omaha. his friend and a player at the table who speaks his language explain the rules, "must use two", "only bet the pot", "hand rankings the same as holdem"

The guy confirms in english he understands and is happy to play.

so for about 30mins this guy's favourite word is POT! he proceeds to run his stack up to approx £20k, and has shown down some rather poor starting hands and run a few crazy bluffs, but he appears to understand hand strength and caught out some players who tried to bluff him. Then the hand of the century happens. its 4bet pre flop and our new friend calls

(dont remember the exact hands but assume close to this)

bet and a call (crazy guy and deep stacked reg heads up)

turn 2

a check call from deep stacked reg vs pot bet from the crazy guy, pot is now £3.5k ish

river 4 (completes the flush, not paired up, no straight flush possible)

the reg bets out £3k

crazy guy insta re raises POT to like £12.5k with approx £7k behind (reg covers)

the reg now starts looking furiously at his cards, then the board, then his cards, then the board, even does a physical count on his fingers, i can see him looking confused, after close to 1 minute of this, he says ALL IN.

crazy guy SNAP CALLS, reg says "WTF I have the nuts? no straight flush possible wtf does he have"

crazy guy announces "NUTZ" and tables J J J A, OH ****!!!!! NO, WAIT, SERIOUSLY!!!!!

reg tables his nut flush and dealer kills crazy guys hand and ships him the pot, then crazy guy starts shouting!

HE THOUGHT HE HAD QUADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now this was the most difficult thing to watch, floor and players trying to explain to a guy he lost, and that he DOESN'T have quads, and that he has lost close to a £50k pot!!!

the words "cheated" and "lied" are thrown about, but ultimately he left felted and gifted a local reg a huge chunk of cash

1/2 300 cap that permits unlimited straddle UTG.

Young guy has run up a stack playing bad LAG. Throws out 5 to straddle previous round and super nit talked him into what eventually became a 19 straddle with buddy tossing in one chip at a time and having nit say that isn't enough.

This round young guy straddles for 5 and the table complains that it should be 19. Buddy says can't do it, I only have 3 whites. So I toss him a white chip from my stack that results in him laughing and putting in the 19.

Buddy one to my right with ~350 has chips in a rack moving to 2/5 after this hand makes it 38.

Folds around to straddle who obviously defends.

Flop 7, 10, J rainbow.

Straddle checks, 2/5 guy bets and straddle jams. 2/5 slams 8,9 suited face up and calls

Turn and river is 3,3

Straddle scoops with 7's full.

2/5 leaves for the bigger game with an empty rack.

I was in a hand many moons ago that I always laugh about when something triggers the memory, like the post above. It's been 3+years so the exact hand details escape me but it went like this...

I'm in the 1 seat, opponent in seat 9. The whole session seat 9 had been pushing me out of pots and I had gotten to the point that I was expressing my annoyance as the night went on. Due to the dealer being between us,I never really got a visual of the guy.

Eventually we got into a hand that I kept raising and he kept calling. The board was something along the lines of 2,2,4,3,4. I pushed all in, he takes for a while and finally folded, to which I showed my bluff and said "I can do it too! I can do it too! " as I was sure he was bluffing me all session. Very next hand I got rockets and over bet preflop just knowing there was no way the same guy was going to give me any credit.

He called and got felted and left the table..new guy at table only there for those two hands says "what the hell is going on here? ".

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's seen this, but an actual physical fight breaking seemingly out of nowhere.

Was at a realllllllllllllllllllllllllllly good 2-5 table (lots of absolutely wrecked people buying in deep and punting stacks left right and center), when a new guy sits down with $1k - at this point he is half-cut but not fully hammered.

Table drunktard starts a conversation with him, and it's pretty friendly at first. Then it gets a little bit competitive. They get into a big hand where drunktard gets it in with TT no spade on 7 6 5sss vs AsAx and TT hits running 8 9 no spade to win. New guy sighs and says nice hand, drunktard says "told you I was gonna get you bro", in what was a pretty jokey tone tbh, but new guy did not take kindly.

He very calmly gets up, pulls his cigarettes out of his pocket like he's going to smoke, walks round the table and then without warning just full on DIVES onto this guy knocking his chair backwards and straddles him and punches him in the face. Drunktard was together enough to fight back but security were there in like 10 seconds.

After the initial shock had warn off after the other guy got 86d, drunktard says "well, he gave me $1,000 of his money and his watch" showing that the guy's watch had fallen off in the attack.

First hand after rebuy and add on period has ended in MTT...While dealer is waiting for break clock to run down, player in seat 3 who had just been moved to our table says to player in seat 8 who he seemed to know..." I'm going all in without looking at my cards" and told his friend to do the same. The blinds were only 400/800 at this point and he had a little over 20K so I figure he was just joking around.
Cards are dealt,he is UTG but sure enough he doesn't touch his cards and pushes his stack out. It's folded to me, I look down at JJ..I snap call and it's
folded around to his buddy in seat 8. He looks at me and asked if I had looked at my cards. I tell him of course. He goes in the tank but finally calls with A6o
My Jacks hold up and I go on to chop tourney 3 ways.

So about a month and a half ago, I'm dealing a Private Game in New York. There's this chick who's a tattoo artist and part-time model but she also plays poker.

The game is coming to an end, and it's just me, the host, and the chick left.

She asks us if we'll take some photos of her, like with her laying on the table, cards spread all over her, chips all over, etc. She's wearing see-through leggings.

We can clearly see her unmentionables.

Of course we say Yes. So, I'm taking photos of her on my iPhone, and I'm slowly backing up towards the wall.

All of a sudden, I see the chick LEAP off the table and start CHARGING towards me.

Accidentally, I had backed up into a candle and was LIT ON FIRE! I had bursted into flames because of the material my jacket was made from.

So the chick is frantically patting me out and hitting/slapping me with her hands, in an attempt to put me out. Luckily, she put me out decently fast and I was uninjured.

But now, the chick is hysterical crying, screaming, "MY HANDS!!! MY HANDS!! THEY'RE BURNED!! YOU ****ING *******, MY HANDS!!!"

So she runs into the bathroom running cold water over her hands and fingers. I ask if she's okay, she's still yelling and screaming, calling me a ****ing dick and a ****ing *******.

At that point, I'm done with the situation. I don't need to be yelled at, the girl is not making any sense and I decided there's nothing I can do for her at that point if she doesn't want me to take her to the hospital.

I leave and I go to my car. I pull out of the parking area, but I'm idling in the middle of the road with my foot on the brake, setting up my Bluetooth Audio so that I can listen to the 2+2 Pokercast on the way home.

All of a sudden I get the **** scared out of me! This chick is OUTSIDE banging on my damn window, yelling and screaming that I owe her money now because she won't be able to work because of her injured hands and fingers.

At that point, stepped on it and bolted the **** out of there. **** that ****!

S a chick basically injures herself while saving you from injury, and you don't understand why she's upset. You sound like a winner.

I asked if she was okay, offered to take her to hospital.

She just kept hitting me and screaming at me.

Buh-bye. I don't need that ****. What else more could I do for her?
