Anyplace else having live Mixed Games or 7-stud other than the Rio?

Venetian, Aria, Bellagio???

Rather stay in 10-20 to 20-40 range

There have recently been a 10/20 mixed game Fridays at Wynn and a 12/24 OE game Wednesdays at Orleans.

Join the Facebook group 'Horse and Mix Games Updates'. People usually post there when a mixed game is going on in town.

Orleans isn't a bad place...would you really rather pay $2 more in rake per hand to play at Wynn?

I have played at Orleans since it was in the old room on the other side of the casino. I stopped playing there a few years ago as the atmosphere is very depressing. I like to enjoy myself and the extra rake is worth it for better service and a happier surrounding. While I would much rather play OE, I will play at Wynn, Aria, or even Rio this summer any day over Orleans.

I heard Orleans didn't want to spread that OE game for them anymore anyway because management felt it was taking away from the 8/16 O8 game and "the hands took too long". I would be surprised if it is still running during the series. Maybe they will want to move that to The Wynn too since it's some of the same players.

Hadn't heard that about the management at Orleans. In the last week it went three times instead of just one though, seems to be growing in popularity.

Personally I'm not planning to play at Wynn anymore because they are raising rake to $5 with the new room opening this week.

That's good. I worry about playing against more than one player when I am there. A bit too much teamwork.

A couple dollar rake should not matter at 10-20 or even higher hopefully and the new Wynn room is supposed to be amazing.

It makes a massive difference and could very well be deciding factor of most people can even beat the game

Why would they not spread the game during the WSOP? Are they expecting an influx of bigger games? That's the biggest game they have.

When I played the mix at Wynn, they wouldn't give us a rake cut when shorthanded, and the floorlady was actually very rude about it.

Sounds weird since they ran a mixed game during the Series, but that was a few years ago and lower limits. But maybe they're concerned about available tables too. They barely have enough to run cash and dailies now.

mix games are 7 handed, some of times it will be short handed. lets say we win 5 hands per hour, so now you are going to win $8-10 less per hour. A good player is going to beat 10-20 for maybee $15 hour (if you can beat it for more probably be playing bigger).

So now you've cut your winrate from $15 hour to maybe $5 hour. But sure thats not a big difference at it.

Here's another way to look at it. Lets say i play 2500 hours a year and conservatively win 4 hands per hour. your meaningless rake difference is only $20,000 a year.

I can assure you that increasing the rake by even $1 in games 5x this size makes a big difference.

I am not seeing much in the way of mixed games so far even at the Rio.

9-18 at Aria (Anyone know the games being played)

Nothing at the Wynn

12-24 OE at Orleans

Nothing currently at WSOP

Looks like it will be a soft year unless you want to play big.

Almost never any limit poker games lower than 20/40 at the Rio, hardly worth even looking.

I haven't been there for 2 years, but I think the Aria 9-18 typically has some kind of crazy mix of about 10 games including all the badugi/triple draw mix games, super stud 8 or better, Big O 8 or better. It may be player choice for each round sometimes now.

I hated the game mix, found the player pool unfriendly and the room very uncomfortable, so I never went back.

People on the Facebook group have been discussing moving the 12/24 OE to a new location if Orleans isn't accommodating.

20-40 mix and 20-40 O8 have gone a couple times at WSOP so far. But with the lack of chip runners this year in additional to the already high rake and general incompetency there, you might be better off playing somewhere else.

Shocked the Wynn can't keep the 10-20 mix going. Would love for the 12-24 OE to go there or maybe the Venetian. I would play every day.

I also dislike the Aria very much

Friday's are fine, but I would like to play everyday when not at WSOP..... maybe I will just take down Colossus and play the 50-100 Stud8 all summer

They've never tried to do the Wynn mix anytime other than Fridays. During the WSOP there could be more demand for mix games, so you could try starting a list for it on other days, but if the place is packed it also might be tougher to get an available table.
