Using online to get better at live

I always here about this but I am not sure how to properly utilize this. If I play a lot online I feel like my 6 max game gets better but my live game suffers especially because the variables are a lot different when comparing microstakes online to live. What should I focus on when playing and how should I study when playing online?

If you are asking this question, you aren't ready to transfer your knowledge from 6 max online to live full ring. Play microstakes full ring to start seeing more similarities.

....and only play ONE table at a time. Practice your reads, note taking....don't zone out.

Yah I think it can be done if you are learning a new game or trying to dust off the old poker skills after a layoff. but the player pool are pretty different and the live game is really its own beast
