I'm ambivalent. The real wildcard is what people would do if the option to turn their hand over were disallowed.
If the choice is that people show and tank some more vs people don't show and tank the same amount of time, then whatever, let 'em show.
But ... I suspect the choice is not those two, but rather show and tank vs don't show and don't tank. That is, people use showing their cards as a way of deferring their decision on the pretext of getting reads.
