May be a dumb question but I'm going to vegas and would rather have a $100 max buy in and not $200 max buy in so are there any 1/1 NL or spread limit? THanks guys

Short stack 1/2 with 50bbs. It's easy, makes all decisions essentially end on the flop. Raise pre, shove flop. Wait for premiums and go.

I think Linq closed their poker room.

They shut it after less than one year in the new location.

Back when it was still Imperial Palace, they got some really crazy 1/1 games going with no max buy-in once in a while. One time 4 totally wasted guys had 1k+ on the table when I walked by. I sat down and matched the big stack in hope of a huge payday and was down >$500 in less than one hour..

In Arizona it does. Pretty sure it usually does in other places as well, where bet limits make true NL games illegal and so they are simulated by having large spread-limits (such as bets of $2-$100). I don't know of any spread limit games in Las Vegas though.

You could always play 4-8 or 2-4 limit if you just want to play with less money. Or play a cheap nl tournament. Or just buy in 100 as people suggest for 1-2.

There are 3 2-6 spread limit games that I am aware of in Las Vegas. Sams Town, Cannery and Excalibur

Oh yeah, have heard of those. But they're not the type of games OP is looking for. He wants a small NL game, or a spread limit game that is "almost NL" like they have in AZ, MN, CO, etc.

didnt harrahs steal the 1/1 game from linq?

and I dont think they cap the buy in at the game. it still had like a 300max I think.

You're talking about betting limits. I said max buy-in.

Yes, and I said spread limit games in those places do have a max buy-in.

San Francisco Bay Area spread limit games always had (using past tense because I think they're all gone) minimum and maximum buyins, consistent with NL games of equivalent blinds, i.e. most 2-100 SL games were 40-200 buyin.

This post contradicts itself. How could a game have no cap on the buy-in and at thr same time be 300 max?

Typo. I do not think they cap the buy in at 100 in that game.
