the person who told me that was some random casino employee who escorted me off premises lol no clue who that person is doubt they even work there

and this place is def the best/most fun place to play by far lol
if i could get unbanned i would have no reason to go to other venues lol
trust me on that ive played at 10+ casinos in my state

being a nit in this situation def didnt play out correctly
i coulda just borrowed a friends id and wore a hat/sunglasses

now i cant even do that cause theyll be looking specifically for me now until i get unbanned

So how did it all go down? Did you call first, then had a face to face meeting with someone? If so, who? (Not name, but position/office). Or did they just tell you to send them an email? Curious about how the process went. But they told you that you could appeal their decision, and is that what youre doing now?

Yeah, much better to trespass than to just not play somewhere.

+1

If you wrote a letter, I'd like to see it posted verbatim.

Man you could've shown up clean shaven with your "I'm a serial trespasser" shirt
on sat down and told the dealer your running bad in the jackpot department. People worry too much, nothing was gonna happen.

It sounds like you did not write a letter or even get a meeting, they just took your name and passed along a request to be unbanned?

Your goal here is to convey a message. That message is not, "I want to be unbanned," but rather, "I'm a different guy than who you banned."

You've done the equivalent of submitting your resume online.

This is true. Remember all of those essays you had to write in high school?. Now write one in real life so once theyre done reading it they will understand (with a tear in their eye) and let in a good customer.

I was (unfairly) banned for a few months and got readmitted after writing a letter. I'd be willing to share the letter so you can use it as a sample.

I think you can share your experience itt(it's relative to what OP is going through). Out of curiosity, are you an east coast player?

It's a very generous offer, but OP hasn't even gone to the effort of trying to draft their own letter. Don't do his homework for him/enable him -- he doesn't seem to want to be unbanned sufficiently to put in real effort. :-/

I just wrote, and then deleted, a bigass sarcastic post. So listen up because I'm basically writing this twice for your benefit.

It's time to grow up. Leaving your name and hoping to get magically unbanned is optimistic. Asking for permission to write a letter is unnecessary. This is akin to leaving a cell phone message for a girl, asking her out. You need to be a little proactive about things you want to happen.

1. Write the letter, even if you don't send it. Get someone to proof read it. Make sure it says everything you want to say, and that you want to say everything it says.

2. Memorize it, or know it inside and out. Create 3 "pitches" - one if you get 15 seconds to make your case, one if you get 2 minutes, one if you get 15 minutes.

3. Your main goal here is to make the decision maker know that you are not the same person they banned. This will involve subgoals of identifying the decision maker and meeting with him or her.

4. Your only business on the phone should be to arrange a meeting. Much like asking someone out, you want a face to face, one on one interaction which will make it difficult for them to tell you "never." You'll get a yes, pity yes, let's try and see, or whatever kind of no they can look you in eye and say to your face.

Bring the letter. Leave it with them.

5. If you get turned down at first, politely escalate. Speak to their supervisor. Email the CEO (first initial last name at corporation dot com) and say that you're really disappointed in X's decision and would appreciate a way to appeal the decision.

^great advice callipigian.

I would find out contacts of the casino manager and top officers of the casino (not just the head of security). Then, send everyone a copy cc'ing everyone (both electronic and mail). You have to be apologetic and express how much you matured and want to be a loyal patron to their casino.

All it takes is a COO or someone to email security and say "Hey, did you review this? let's let him in he learned his lesson and sounds like a smart young adult".

In my experience, it's less "hay guyz lets do the right thing" and more "god damn subordinates cant handle their **** HELLO THIS MAN WANTS TO GIVE US HIS MONEY MAKE IT HAPPEN PEOPLE."
