I am hoping to spend a few months this winter somewhere in the Carribean where I can play poker to offset my travel & living expenses. Does anyone have experience playing cash games in St. Maarten? Is there enough live action to play on a daily basis? Are the rakes reasonable? Also, if St. Maarten isn't the best option, does anyone have suggestions for other Carribean destinations with enough live action to grind for a living? Thanks!
Been a few years since I was there. Several casinos in the Dutch side. Ones I went to had most of their actions as a daily tournament. One or two cash tables, mainly PLO. Don't know if you'd have he number of games and tables available to grind for a living.
I walked through a casino (dutch side) on the way to the sportsbar and while there wasn't a poker game going, they did have the rake schedule posted. It assured me that I would never ever ever be playing poker on that island.
