Not sure where to ask this so Mods move if you'd like. ☺
I can't find any recent topics on Poker dealer schools. Anyone have any suggestions on a school you chose (usa) and/or why you chose it?
I researched some on internet but there's really not any current reviews. I've also talked to a number of schools from Vegas to Biloxi.
I've heard you don't have to attend a school, you just need to pass an audition. With that said I'm still going to school for it.
I also know the current market sucks for dealers.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Some jurisdictions require either school or experience, some don't care. Varies state by state
And yes the market is not great.

It's true that you don't need school in most jurisdictions...but passing the audition without it sounds like a million-to-one shot. You don't learn how to drive by watching others drive, then getting behind the wheel for the first time when you show up to the drivers license test.
As for reviews, sorry, can't help you. Ask the poker managers in your area, they know which schools produce the competent dealers, and which don't.
