Did anybody else notice Barry insulting Amanda on the Pokerstars Big Game (Troy was the Loose Cannon)? It went something along the lines of someone did a little interview piece with Amanda, then someone at the table asked if he got Amanda's number. Barry said 'you're a couple of million short for her', to which Amanda replied 'Hey! That's not very nice!'. Barry totally dinghied her.

Bad blood from her days dating Barry's son, Joe Sebok? She went on to date Daniel Negreanu, suggesting that she's a bit of a golddigger.

I was baked when I saw it, perhaps a bit of overthinking, but it seemed like a total diss from the Bear!

You're not imagining things. It was quite nasty, and given family history it's less likely that it was a joke gone bad.

Forgot about that, also the same week Barry made the joke about "work your own side of the street" when she told Antonio to unbutton his shirt again. It was funny but basically referring to her as a hooker? She giggled at it but definitely seemed a little sharper dig than I would expect from mild mannered Barry...

way to draw the right conclusion barry. its definitely that she's a golddigger, nothing to do with the fact that sebok is a whiny, annoying, unsuccessful mental midget who sold out all his follower sheep for a payday from a corrupt company who stole money from its customers.

edit: and btw i've met barry and he seems like a really nice guy and overall a class act. but he's usually/always very biased when it comes to his family, and doesn't appear to even try not to be.

I can't really give the definition but here's an example. A Vegas poker pro is trying to get (usually) a amateur/bad poker player into some side bet action or trying to make the amateur call with a worse hand. Someone else not in the conversation butts in and tells the amateur not to make the bet because hes going to lose. The pro then tells the person who scared off the amateur to work on his side of the street... instead of stabbing him in the chest of course.

I saw Doyle say this to someone on HSP in the same situation. "you work your side of the street and i'll work mine"

Weren't there street hustlers back in the day that had ball and cup games to take suckers money? Barry and Doyle are from the same generation of gamblers and have played plenty together so I am sure its the same saying and I am sure it has nothing to do with prostitution.

What does it matter where an expression is derived from. It has no bearing on the meaning behind a statement, unless it's used in a pun. But, I think it's pretty straightforward in this case.
