How hard is it to obtain a gaming license in Washington State. Not a license in a tribal casino rather a Washington State card room. I heard they don't do credit checks is that true? Also what are reason's you could be denied? Would a DUI screw your chances? Thanks.

Try the state gambling commission website to start with.

I looked into this for a bit, and I could find NOTHING online regarding how to actually obtain a license. You might need to have a lawyer do some footwork for you before you know for sure. Please post here if you find anything out.

Obtaining a Washington State gaming license:

1) Obtain a large pile of money

2) Hire a well-connected lawyer, preferably a former state legislator

3) Say good-buy to your large pile of money

FWIW, I plan to run for my state legislature, and my sole objective should I win is obtaining a state gaming license.

http://www.wsgc.wa.gov/forms/apps/4-068.pdf This form seems pretty clear. The main this is that you can't just apply for a license, you have to be getting a job somewhere, then apply.

It's not hard, fingerprints and around $250. On the form for criminal history be open about everything, even a no seatbelt ticket. Takes about 10 days and a yearly fee of around $100
