HAHA!

man, happens to me at least once in a session at my local casino. ppl use their superb late position to call AIs, especially in tournaments when they are shortstacked!

More than a few times I have put my opponent all in on the turn having made a hand like this, worried only about the possibilty of this anus sitting opposite me riverring a flush if i let him in too cheap. Now, before this guy would make the appalling call he is about to, he considers everything like the fact that he is getting worse than 2-1 odds on a 4-1 shot etc. Then he looks me up and down like he's trying to figure out if his current holding (for instance 9-high) is any good. Finally, his thought process comes to its conclusion as he goes back over the hand and arrives at the desicion that a diamond probably is coming on the river, "especially when you consider the preflop action", and calls. When the flush does come, he acts all pleased with himself like he made a really good call and caught me in a bluff or something.

Anyway, this doesn't f**k me up too much becuase I tend to reload and felt him to ensure that while I'm getting a comfortable taxi home at the end of the night... he's picking up drunks in his. Booyah.

I'm drunk at Canterbury MN playing 3/6 limit. This one guy to my right is the most annoying and worst player in history, taking forever to go (in limit i expect action in 5 seconds) and being just generally terrible.

UTG raises and gets like 4 callers. Flop is A J T rainbow. UTG bets and everyone folds except terrible guy. Turn is a 9. UTG bets again, terrible guy calls. River is another J. UTG bets again, terrible guy calls. UTG doesn't turn over his hand and figures he's beat. Terrible guy tables 65o. UTG looks confused and tables QQ and wins. I ask why'd you call there?? and he just shrugs and says "I thought he was bluffing."

I'm always befuddled when I hear: "I hate AA."

Someone always says it after Aces get craked (and wierdly it is usually not the player that had them cracked).

I was playing the other day when AA got cracked. The next (3) players who got AA limped with them.

Playing the OK State Championship last month. Second level...two players are heads up...the board is paired and there is a flush draw. Player one bets...player 2 calls. Player one shows his King high flush...Player 2 looks really dissappointed flips his cards into the muck stating that he knew his full house was beat....

Yeah I know, but if you're at the point where the guy is essentially unlimited raising you back and forth, I don't think its worth it to just call and maybe have him get scared off on the turn just because the limits are doubled.

On the river random tourist announces, "I think I'm losing, all-in!"

Spoiler:
At least he was right.

My favorite (to me) was a few years ago at the 4/8 game at Mandalay.

I was playing very tightly, finally got a good hand, so was betting and raising.

After the river, with a particularly scary board, she said:

"You haven't played a hand in a while, I guess I'll give you action"

I once heard a guy talk about how if we won 2 satellites to a WPT event he wouldn't sell the second seat. He explained how selling the second seat would be stupid because "that would be just another player I'd have to knock out." He wasn't joking.

If this is LHE, he might be right.

Oh yeah, I had a similar situation.

Board is JJJJx

There's a two way chop (players who had Aces). Another player chimes in "I had an A also", so we ask why he didn't bet and he says "It was A2, so I figured I had a lousy kicker"

Preflop @ 1/2 NLH game:
I raise pf, player B 3bets, player C calls, I 4bet-shove, player B calls, player C goes into the tank.

He finally calls and wins when he tables A2 suited after the dealer runs it out. Someone comments on his call, and he justifies it by saying, "I was on a flush draw!" (preflop flush draw, that is)

Different table:
Some hand had just ended, a player asks another player to his right, "Do you call with A5s there?" The other player genuinely responds, "It depends on the suit."

AK for me vs KQ for idiot.

Flop comes King high rainbow, no straight draw. Turn and river are blanks. He calls me all the way down for huge bets with the river taking the rest of his stack. I turn over my AK and he calls me "Super Lucky".

Say What??

On the inside I respond: "I'm super lucky you are stupid enough to blow your stack with top pair king high flop when a tight aggressive player raises 10X big blind preflop"

On the outside I respond: "Yes I am. CHIPS!"

It is wonderful. I can't even stand to play online being a B&M player from the beginning. I just can't help it, Ill sit there in front of my computer grinding out a win against tough players and think "I bet the Commerce has yellow chips flying everywhere right about now".

I've seen a bunch of this... always hilarious!

Action on river:
P1: "I bet."
P2: "You got nothing! I call your bluff!"
P1: "Wow! Nice call. You're right."
...as he tables 66 on a AQTT9 flushing board.
P2 stares at the board, taps his cards on the table several times, and throws them in the muck.

Yeah, I ran across a guy like this once. Explained to the whole table (several times ) about how he NEVER raises preflop, and that way you never know what he has. Crazy! Weird thing is he was pretty good at hand reading, getting value, and making folds, and I'd say he was probably a winner in the game anyway.

I saw him again about a month later. He was raising preflop.

Playing PLO live. There was a preflop raise and multiway action. Flop comes something like T52 rainbow and after pots and repots my friend gets it all in against one player and they're reasonably deep. My friend tables his set of tens and the other guy says "I'm drawing". Comes running JA and the guy on a draw tables KQ89 for the nut straight to scoop a big pot. My friend says "You were on a draw?" and the guy says "Yeah, I needed a jack for the wrap". My friend says "So really you just had king high no draw?" and guy says "No, I just needed the jack for the wrap" like my friend doesn't understand something so obvious.

While playing 2/3 last night the season premiere of HSP was on. The couple next to me (Effective age ~45 yrs) was discussing the Peter Eastgate AK v DN's J2 hand.

On the turn when Daniel turned the boat, the odds were 95% to 5%
22KJ board

The dude says: "Wow, (Daniel) he just hit a full house, Eastgate is drawing dead, Idk why it's only 95% it should be 100%"...

-------------

In another hand between to ''awesome'' live players:

J10 v 10 10

Jack high board, when they go to showdown the guy with J10 says, "wow, youre lucky you didnt catch a 10"
