So my friend brought his brother to one of our Vegas trips. The first night he wanders off by himself and comes back like 30 minutes later with news he was "robbed."
It turns out he was hanging out on the walkway between MGM and NYNY checking out some of the local talent when two of the hottest girls he had ever seen came up and started rubbing him all over. 15 seconds later they disappeared and all his money is gone.
All of it. Every penny.
Because someone told him that hotel safes weren't safe, so he had what amounted to 2 months' gross salary, including what he was supposed to pay to his brother for his share of the room, in cash on him.
Q: "Didn't you get suspicious when two girls who were way out of your league decided to come over and rub your dick in public?"
A: "Yeah, but ... no."
I mean stupidity is relative but I'm at least smart enough to realize that I've got to wave some money around for really hot women to give me a second glance in Vegas.
Sure, I'd even be willing to grant that people get mugged all the time in Vegas. Perhaps even on a per-capita basis. But I bet it's better than other cities on a per-tourist basis, and that statistics are inflated by people who got "mugged" or had their credit cards "stolen and used at a gay strip club."
I'd much rather walk around the worst hotel on the Strip with $5,000 than the best non-Vegas casino/cardroom I've been to.
