I play online & home games monthly so not a completely random idea for a job and just think being a dealer for a couple of years roughly would be good fun, good times & could learn a bit more in the process while getting paid
Find a casino near where youlive that you would want to work in. Start going there and make friedns with some dealers and floor people. Exlian you wish to deal and ask about how to get a job there. You may need to start out in a lower position and work your way up to being a dealer.
I'm not rying to advertise for 2+2 but I found a particular book very helpful to me when I made the same decision you are making. I never attended a formal dealers school, not that I recommend that path to anyone.
The Professional Poker Dealers Handbook co- authored by Mason Malmuth, (Grand high muckity muck at 2+2) is a great starting point. It's available at 2+2 's store.
