Why do care? Dealer made a pretty simple error in part brought about by the player saying he missed (when you plant the seed in persons mind that the hand has no value it's easier to miss the straight) everyone at the table watching, except the poster made the same error. And since the hand was tabled it's easily rectified
I'm not saying it would be wrong to not tip the dealer. I'm just saying it doesn't seem to me that a person not involved should care one way or the other.
I understand on more egregious errors one can say that tipping the dealer may cause future errors because you don't incentivize good dealing procedures and I agree. But I don't think this type of error creates that same issue.
