But as to knowing what I was doing was wrong - no I am sorry, that came off poorly in our exchange. I did not know that deliberately bypassing the filter was cause for deletion. (At the time I did attribute the deletion to self-bias as a mod). In my first exchange by "making a point" I meant I *expected* the word to be filtered hence the bypass, not that I knew it meant deletion. In the second when I said "I know that" i meant that I know it now. Poorly chosen words on my part.

Isn't straddling discussion strategy and isn't allowed in LCP anyway? If they're talking about getting a button straddle or other straddle option allowed in their venue or something specific to that room, why should it go in a containment thread?

If you contain it, I would suggest permitting additional threads/discussion if the discussion of modifying the rules comes up.

FWIW, we're not considering a containment thread, just extracting the discussion into its own thread. It's currently dominating the venue thread, and many are simply not interested in it and want to discuss other things, but are getting drowned out. Also, the discussion can be applied to future venues facing a similar situation. But, it certainly is relevant to that venue NOW and many want a resolution one way or the other. So this is what we're debating.

That would be good too. The big thing is the discussion of the MS straddle isn't venue specific.

Since it seems to be dying out, one solution is to let it finish where it is, and then extract later so it can be referenced/continued in the future.

Plus, the mod is essentially saying to OP, 'This never happened'.

I changed it to something more informative.

It doesn't matter whether it happened because it's still a discussion-worthy scenario.

I didn't do it, but reading it, it was pretty low content. It was probably 50/50 that one of us might have popped it.

I'm assuming Rapini deleted it because I referred to him as lolRapini, but I don't actually know who deleted it or why. As far as I can tell, it doesn't break any forum rules other than possibly the reference to "lolRapini". My assumption comes from this PM just sent from Rapini:


I had made a post a few weeks ago in which I named a few dealers because I was complimenting them and wanted the poker room manager to know. Rapini edited their names & descriptions out of that post. I looked at the rules, realized I had accidentally broken them with my compliments due to using names, and let it go because I was technically in the wrong, no matter how well intentioned.

What it looks like to me is that Rapini is now mad that I referred to him as lolRapini, and decided to retaliate by deleting a decent post and threatening to suspend my account over it.

Rapini has a long history of... being Rapini, hence why I am addressing this post to the two of you instead of him. Along with many others, I have critiqued his modding in the past, and based on his consistently Rapiniesque behavior over the years, I'm confident that there is no way that he would be unbiased in addressing this.



Rapini - I obviously can't stop you from replying or deleting / editing this, but if you could try not being you just this once and let the other two handle it, that would be a refreshing change. I'm not going to engage on you with this for the reasons stated above, so anything you respond with directed to me is a waste of your time.

I will do it, but yes, if you want to not have your posts deleted, don't do stuff like that. None of us appreciate it, and we reserve the right to delete posts that violate the LCP rules. Thanks.

I don't care what you call me. You commented on moderation action outside the moderation discussion thread, which is why the post was deleted. Next time, don't break the rules and your post won't be deleted.

Lol, you guys delete the Racener Hard Rock talk, you guys delete tax questions about the Hard Rock and if they send out tax forms to winners, is there anything we're actually allowed to talk about in this thread? Jeez. I mean it's not like this thread is the holy grail and feel like both topics were questions or discussions that had to do specifically with the Hard Rock, as we know the Seminoles run different than other card rooms. Think it was a question specific to the Hard Rock and how they handle their tax forms and burdening a whole other tax thread on one specific room seems pretty ridiculous.
