I have searched high and low and it appears Treasure Island and Binions are the only two poker rooms offering rakeback promotions for regular, hourly play (weekly/monthly.) Please post any other rooms currently offering promotions (similar to these.)

Every casino has different promos that they offer .. and they can change from month to month. Didn't think rake-back was even out there any more.

1) "add-on" chips for early birds
2) Free roll tournaments for hours played
3) "high card" hourly promos
4) points put on your player card
5) Free food at certain times
6) Reduced rake during 'slow' times

I have seen anywhere from $0.60 to $1 per hour comps to use in the casino 'as cash'

Good luck finding the best deal for your playing hours. GL

You have to offset the "benefits" with the quality of game you have to play in.

Las Vegas cardrooms that offer promotions often have games that are not filled with gambol happy tourists.

They aren;t really rakeback promotions. Nobody is calculating how much rake you paid and giving you back a percentage of the rake. They are "get back a portion of the jackpot drop for sitting at the table for long periods of time" promotions.

They encourage behavior accordingly.

I have been noticing TI only had a table sometimes 2. While giving 250 a week cash. Is there something. I'm missing...
Seems 1k a month is tops in Vegas. Yet room remains empty

I think they take an extra $2 per pot to pay for the promotion. Figure you win 3 pots an hour and your $10 hourly promotion is now $4 an hour. And since the game is full of nits, I can make up that $4 an hour in a better game. Any good player should have a higher winrate somewhere else. This sounds like a great promotion for a break-even player.

I'd like to try it one week, but honestly it sounds like a really dull game and I'd end up jumping off the parking garage instead. I can't bring myself to play there.

+1

Its been discussed before and everyone agrees that the game is bad. Whatever you gain from the promotion, you will lose in winrate at this game vs other games on the strip and additional promo drop of $2 vs no drop or just $1 drop at other casinos.

It looks like Hard Rock still has their 10am-4pm $100 high hand and $100 aces cracked promos. There's normally only one table going so it's better than $10/hr. BUT... the times I've tried to play there the game was terrible. Supernits trying to lose $10 pots with aces or win $10 pots with full house+ to get the high hand.

Stay away from the promos and look for poker rooms with good games. Your winrate will make up for any promo money you would win.

Yeah .. promos are great .. Played at Planet Hollywood and during the Aces cracked promo a guy kept pushing the pot with trips. I netted $60 after losing $140 in the pot. (It was $200 at the time ... at 4 AM.)

I don't mind the 'high hand' promos as it 'allows' for more potential BBJs to get hit in those rooms. I play in a room that has $250 every 4 hours for high hand and you can't go more than 45 days between BBJ hits. Granted the BBJ only gets to about $40K with AAAJJ as a min hand, but I will go for quantity over quality at this casino. GL

Have to be a bloody good promotion to get me to sit down in TI poker room for any length of time IMO.

Forget the $250 every 4 hours; if you like HH promos, you need to come down to SoFla. Pretty much every room has HH promos of something along the order of $250 every 15 minutes or $500 every 30min at various times of the day or on certain days of the week. I was playing at Hialeah yesterday and it was $400 every 20 minutes. The day before I was at Gulfstream and it was $500 every 30 minutes. (I wasn't chasing the promos, it's just that both rooms are equidistant from my condo on Miami Beach.)

One room here (Magic City) has a $1,500 high hand M-F for the two-hour period from 10am - noon. In fact, I was playing 2/5NL there last Thursday when someone at the 2/4 table next to me made a two-card royal flush (which would have netted an additional $500 bonus in addition to the $1,500) late in the two-hour period, but they neglected to ensure that there was $10 in the pot so it didn't qualify. Sucks to be him.

And it isn't a matter of choosing a game with a bonus over a better game somewhere else as it is in Vegas because every room down here has the same rake of $5 + $2. All things being equal, I'd rather play in a room with just a $4 rake and no bonuses, but that isn't an option here. For several years I split my year playing in Vegas for 6 months and in SoFla for 6 months, and I can say unequivocally that the games are juicier down here, even with having to pay $7 as opposed to only $4 or $5.
