I live in Maine and the closest live poker is at Foxwoods. I would like to make it to an MTT or two early in 2011, are there any reccomended series or events that would take place on weekend(s) Jan-June of '11? Any tournaments that are generally soft? I am an MTT donk and have very little live experience, so you want me there

Any weekend you show up, there will be plenty of daily tournaments going. I can't really speak on which ones are soft, but my general impression is most of the fields are not tough.

For special events, there's the Foxwoods Poker Classic in March, and Deep Stack series in February and May.

To be honest, no, I just play the cash games, but I've talked to friends who've played the STTs and the consensus seeems to be that they are fantastically soft. The only reason they aren't the best thing since sliced bread is the huge rake.

incorrect , there are multiple poker rooms in southern new hampshire which have daily tournaments full of bad players

Rockingham Park and Seabrook both have daily poker tournaments. Seabrook has moved from the Dog Track to another location. Check the pokeratlas.com
Daily poker tournaments at foxwoods are great, and don't forget Mohegan Sun 20 minutes away.
Although I live in Sacramento, I'm from Cent. Mass and get back there every summer
