If you know yourself, and know that it would take an unlikely scenario of winning 100+ more bb in that 3 hours to make yourself willing to play another long session the next day where you have a high likelihood of making that some money or more, then it's clearly the +EV choice to leave at 3:30am when you're content with the day and ready to jump back in the next day.
That being said, the MOST +Ev decision would to be content no matter what and stay if you think its very profitable if you're able to play a solid game the next day regardless of the results. However, we're only human. If you're not capable of doing that, that's ok. It's just a matter of how hard you can push yourself to maximize your WR
Yeah, playing longer might earn me more dollars but I feel certain my hourly (and happiness) would go down.
So while some might say my current 5 session win streak is manufactured...
I never played less than 4 hours...(or more than 6)
and
I never left a great game...
The 2nd point being the real key. Since I never leave a great game, I'm certain my hourly would go down if I made it a habit to play longer. I always leave when the game is mediocre at best and with seemingly little chance of improving.
And I always got to make the drive home while in a good mood from winning, and not overly tired from playing too long. Win/win.
