So my question today is really quite rudimentary. Have any of you experienced higher win rates or better value during holidays? For the past couple of weeks I've been confined to online poker. This is because the closest poker room is about 5 hours away (Winstar.) It's quite unfortunate because I have found Winstar and Choctaw presents some of the best value in the United States.

With all of that said, should I allow it being holiday weekend (MDW) affect my decision to play live?

the stakes will be 1-3 or 2-5

If you're thinking strictly in terms of $EV, then ten hours of driving is going to be difficult to overcome both in terms of gas and opportunity cost. That is, it shouldn't affect your decision too much. But yes, holidays are generally more profitable for the reasons you suspect.

I decided on Choctaw, I'll spend the weekend. Cutting the nut by rigging my car out for sleeping. should balance out the EV!

Online is great and all but I feel live reps are critical before WSOP.
