Hi all. I wrote a quick review of Foxwoods the other day, and there were some questions about the player rewards through Foxwoods' Wampum Card that I thought I would try to answer.

When playing poker at Foxwoods, be sure to sign up for a Wampum card. This is the same card that you would use at the slot machines or at the table games.

When you take your seat at a poker table, the floor person will take your card and sign you in. You will receive Wampum Rewards for each hour you log playing poker. When you are ready to leave the poker room, make sure you sign out or you won't get credited with your Wampum points.

Also, the poker room offers an official 'World Poker Room' Wampum card. It's the same card as the ugly green one everyone in the casino gets, but it looks cooler. Just ask a floor person where to get the card and they will direct you to the tournament cage where they print them.

The number of points you earn depends upon the stakes you play. There are 3 tiers of points you can earn: $.50/hour, $1/hour or $1.50/hour.

$.50 Small stakes limit games
$1 Limit games 10/20 and higher, and 1/2 no limit and higher
$1.50 No limit games 5/10 and higher

The third tier was news to me until I spoke with a floor person today.

In addition to these rewards, players who play a lot may earn a 'Black Card.' It looks the same as the white poker Wampum card, but it's black (duh). You have to qualify to get this card, but the benefits are nice:

- Double the points you earn while playing poker.
- $50 birthday voucher for some of the nicer FW restaurants.
- Invite to special parties including the monthly birthday party.
- Discounted room rates for mid-week stays as offered in the mail.

Now, I know you're all wondering, "How do I qualify?" Here it is:

- Minimum of 75 days played AND 500 hours logged within a 12-month period.
- Monthly evaluations are done to include new members.
- Once qualified, black cards are mailed to guests.
- Black card is good for one year and will be renewed if yearly evaluation is met.

I hope this answers most questions. My sources for this info include the information sheet for Wampum cards available in the poker room (currently near the escalator entrance), and asking two floor people about the points you receive for the various stakes.

20-40 limit has always been 1.50 also for the regular rate. I usually get 3$ an hour with the v.i.p. card.

Thank you very much for the clarification on how to get the black card. Nice to see the points per limit too. Great write up!

Excellent writeup. Why don't you edit the Wiki article? http://poker.wikia.com/wiki/Foxwoods

I asked the floor last week and they said as they track your play (implying you'd have to be checked in with a wampum card) they will automatically mail you a new card if you quailfy.

I wasn't talking about the black one I was referring to the basic white card
