Hi everyone,
We're looking at making some changes throughout the forums - many have already happened in the strategy forums. Why? The main idea of this reorganization is to help the forums thrive by ensuring each one has sufficient traffic to make for good discussions, and to reduce confusion for members/visitors (especially new ones) when trying to find the right forum to post in, and/or topics of interest. Or, as Mat succinctly put it:
Quote:
what i want to see is a less confusing place for new users and an improved experience for existing users.
I've just created a thread in ATF with a potential overall reorganization plan:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/55...ssion-1683262/
But I wanted to create a thread here that is more specific to LCP. You're welcome to give your feedback here or in ATF (or both if you have thoughts beyond LCP).
So to start with, we're looking at a new category along the lines of "Live Poker", rather than having LCP lumped into General Poker Discussion, with a confusing variety of other forums.
Home Poker seems like a logical fit in the same category. Also being considered is moving MTTc-Live into the same category - currently it's in with the Tournament strategy forums, when it's really all about upcoming live tournament discussion.
So if that were to go ahead, we'd be looking at something like this:
Live Poker
- Live Casino Poker
- MTTc - Live (renamed to something like Live Tournaments)
- Home Poker
There has also been some additional discussion in the mod forum about some different options, like combining the subforums into one Poker Venues forum (do we still need Communities as a separate forum?), and making it a top-level forum instead. This was accompanied by the idea of renaming this forum to Rules & Etiquette. Then we'd be looking at:
Live Poker
- Rules & Etiquette
- Poker Venues
- MTTc - Live (renamed to something like Live Tournaments)
- Home Poker
These are just some ideas being kicked around at this point, although I hope the first set wouldn't be all that controversial (new Live Poker category).
Happy to have your feedback and suggestions.
