Short answer: LOL

Longer answer: You can use your credit card to take a cash advance and buyin with that but you'll be paying credit card interest immediately. You can't let people buyin for credit when then can easily turn around and call the credit card company and say "I never authorized this" and get a freeroll on the casino.

I don't know of any place that allows you to do that.

Only if you pay interest on your credit cards. Mine just take last months expenses out of my account at the end of the first week of the following month.

I know people have said on the Talking Stick (Scottsdale, AZ) thread that you can buy in with a CC there. Don't know about in Vegas.

What are the ways you can pay tournaments at vegas?
I mean is there any online registration or something?
As a european citizen and from a country with many bank limitations is kinda hard to transfer a lot of money so this is something that worries me long time!

The bigger issue is gaming regulations

That would be very atypical. Your standard purchases don't start accruing interest until after the grace period, but cash advances start the juice immediately (or charge a fee, or both). It's possible your credit card company is different, but it's more likely you've never taken out a cash advance for gambling.

A cash advance generally works differently than regular charges. First, there is an immediate fee. Second, the interest starts accruing immediately. On regular charges, if you pay the full statement balance on the due date, there is no interest and the interest only starts accruing on the due date if you do not pay the full balance. This is not true for cash advances. The interest on cash advances starts accruing immediately upon your taking the cash advance and not on the due date for that statement. Third, the interest rate is usually higher than the interest rate for regular charges.

Think ATM

Also I suspect most large casinos will cash advance. Btw just because you call and dispute a charge does not make it go away. It will suspend it but if the institution, bank or casinos, has support for a he charge it will go through. And you will pay or they will put that on your credit history at all three majors. Three casinos here. All will cash advance.

Cash games would require a cash advance. Fees and juice apply from point of transaction.

WSOP entries at RIO are treated as a purchase. Purchase would accrue interest consistent with cardholder agreement but are a purchase and NOT a cash advance. Other series going on concurrently required cash and were not accepting payment with a card...

(have registered and paid using credit card in 2016 and 2017 WSOP)

Hi guys, new to the forum. Staying at the Rio, question for you guys as I'm a bit new to this - is there anyone here that can exchange cash or tournament chips for a venmo payment? Happy to pay a 10% markup... I cashed in the $1,600/$3m at the venetian and then have gone bust. I'd like to play the $1,500 at wsop today and the $3500 tomorrow.

Looking for $1k-2k cash, payment via venmo
