Have lived in Cabo for 5 years and have played live cash here for the last 3. Have always been suprised not to see other Americans in the casinos or home games. Games normally run 25/50 peso or 50/100 peso equivalent of 1.50/3$ and 3/6$. When I moved here in 2011 I remember a thread of people relocating to Cabo to grind stars but have never seen anyone remotely decent in a game down here live. Just curious if there's anyone else still down here, needless to say the games are softer than you can imagine and not complaining but would be nice to play more than 30 bbs deep against a competent opponent.

Well, are people no deeper than 30bb? That's probably your answer as to why nobody is there grinding live cash.

If you told me they were playing 3/6 300bb deep every night I would seriously consider moving there. 30bb is another story

In a 25/50 peso game the minimum bi is 2000 pesos (40bb) and that's what everyone buys in for. After a couple of hours there will be people sitting deeper but you still end up in a lot of pots 15-40 bbs effective. Still an amazing game. Last night we played 25/50/100 and I got snap called on a 60 bb 3bet shove by Q9off. The home games will usually play a bit deeper but the casino is pretty amazing despite all short stackers. Nobody knows any better down here, especially the casino.

There's a casino downtown called play-win that runs cash games Thursday thru Saturday and there's two bigger home games that run like a casino.

What is the rake structure like in these games?

I'm heading down there for a week next month and wouldn't mind playing a bit -- would be fun/novel to play with peso chips
