I was passing by the Riviera's Poker Room yesterday and noticed that the Riviera is running satellites to the Punta Cana Poker Classic (Dominican Republic). They've got one $4000 prize package guaranteed for each $225 multitable satellite. It's a pretty small room so seems quite likely that these could overlay.

I've got the flyer in front of me but can't figure out how to post it. Here are the details....

30 minute levels, 5k chips

Starting Thursday August 4 --- 11 am satellite (and every thursday after that)

Package includes $1650 Punta Cana main event entry, 5 night stay at Hard Rock Hotel and Resort including ALL food, ALL alcohol, shuttle service to and from airport, $1500 spending voucher for golf, spa, etc. at resort, and $1000 in travel money for airfare.

$30 single table satellites to $225 events running daily from August 1

The Punta Cana Classic itself is November 8-13. Don't know if I'll still be in Vegas when they start running these satellites myself, but sounds like they might be good value for those interested in going to Punta Cana.

Looks like it's worth a lot more than 4 grand because the 5 nights at the Hard Rock, shuttle, food, booze, etc appear not to be included in the $1500 spending voucher.

And also... lol at $30 single table satellites.
