I'll be at Bellagio in May. Is the 20/40 game still going strong? Everyday?

Also, is the Venetian $15/30 mini-blinds game alive or dead? (I'm going to try to start a list for $15/30 full blinds when I'm there - if they let me!)

When I was at the B over the NCAA tourney opening weekend, the 20-40 ran 20+ hours a day, and the 40-80 ran nonstop.

What is the minimum buy-in you would need to play in Bobby's Room? I think I have enough and for grins, I am thinking about doing it, playing a couple of hands, and then leaving.

i am wondering a similar thing. Your best best is the Aria 300/600 mix game, but im still looking for regular games above 400/800 and have come up empty handed.

Thanks for all the feedback! I guess the V is a no go :-( I guess I'll be playing $20-40 for the week I'm there... I hope the crazy dude who always sat in the 1 seat in the $15 game is playing $20 now. (He's the foreign dude who raises and re-raises non-stop and either wins $3k or loses $3k - he's been there everytime I visit sitting in seat 1 during the afternoon hours, so I have to assume he's still playing...)

At least during the wsop, no, but imo it should be. We'd get out like 5 extra hands an hour. Sometimes though you're forced to use black chips if they run out of the $25 ones. And sometimes some of us bring blacks to the tables instead in hopes of being able to bump the game up more easily since it gets peoples' minds thinking more about bigger, plus with some blacks in play there's less to have to color up when changing the game.

You're forced to when they run out, but by no means are you discouraged to use blacks at any other time. If you wanna play with blacks do it. No one in the game cares.

It's fun to show up at the 40 game at Borgata with all sorts of different colors. Pisses everyone off when the entire table isn't just a sea of blue. But you also appear to be the idiot, so it's all good.

I would take a wild guess that there's no 15/30 at Aria, but that's not based on anything but instinct. Would assume 8/16 at Venetian is healthy, but who knows about 10/20 at B.

^^^ so weird but last time i played 10/20 i was thinking that! and a pro I ran into at the V told me the same, he said he rather play 8/16 at the V than the 10/20 at the B.

8/16 at Venetian is full of locals who seem to play in teams. Not a comfortable game...10/20 and 20/40 at Bellagio much better

the 10/20 vs 20/40 split is not a surprise. The rich businessmen gamb00lers usually wanted to handle the bigger chip stacks at 20 pre-boom. Local teams are just a part of Vegas culture.
