I played 10/20 saturday during the day. Twas soft imo. I ran like a champ and went up 900 in like 5 hours. I think multiple 20/40 games where going and some 40/80 as well.

I think the 2/4 chip structure was fine. Fish will call "just 4 more chips" often so no biggie.

I play 30-60 in my home club; but 20-40 and its kin are spread in rather more places than 15-30 and its kin. The structure is more common, more familiar, and more people are comfortable playing it.

Moreover there may have been some local pent-up demand for the new Bellagio game structure after the Mirage management let limit holdem die off.

I meant as compared to 15 and 30 at the Bellagio. More wanting to know how the player pool was adjusting itself within the room

I played 8/16 at the V and 10/20 at the B this weekend. Both were tighter than anything I remember from the East with lots of deals insta-folded to the cut-off. The number of chips made zero difference.

On the plus side at the V, Teddy "The Iceman" could be called "The Niceman." The happiest guy at the table, although that bar was low.

This past weekend was an exception because it was a long weekend, and there were several groups of LHE players in town together from the east coast. On Friday evening, there were actually two full 100/200 games with a list.

when were you at the B this weekend? I played on saturday from about 3pm-8pm. I'm not sure if there was another 10/20 going but I felt mine was soft.

Ya it was kinda tight at times but if one person limped a limp-fest would start, if not then raise wide and steal the blinds. There was a bad lag that I iso 3betted really light. When the table noticed that they loosened up. One hand I actually had KK, lag raised UTG and I 3bet in lowjack and some kid who I thought was a decent TAG called 3 to the face with J7s. Mofo flopped 3 7s, it was my second hand in a row 3betting so I can see why he'd loosen up but come on J7s?

Cold calling was happening all over the place. Post-flop play and hand-reading ability was abysmal as always in live. I turned a set with pocket TT twice early in the session so from then on if I was in the hand and a ten came on the board people freaked out, swore I had TT again and gave me a free card lol.

Those fish aren't going to stop playing if the rule is changed and they can only get a setup every 4 hours. But the commerce doesn't want to keep replacing the decks when the fish start bending cards.

Yeah, sure. But is it a pleasant experience that I have to wait for set-ups every hour because of this idiocy? I can't say that it is. Nor do I really like having to cut out 16 or 24 or 32 (in kill games) chips to bet because some donks think that big pots are purty to look at.
Our kill is 100-200 with $10 chips in the 60 game I play in, you only have to bet either a stack or a half stack, it's easy!

LOL. The only vegas regulars I'd avoid are ClarkNasty and BugStud. Most vegas locals are weak tight survivalist nits, and that's the good ones.

Are they running the 20-40 stud game and/or 30-60 om h/l game? Any mixed games?

40-80 mixed runs a lot. 30-60 O/8 runs every day.

20-40 stud is on life support.

Yes but aren't the players on life-support?

Did anyone play 10/20 with the accused Bellagio bandit.

"A source told police that Carleo liked to play poker and frequented the Bellagio's no-limit Texas Hold 'em tables with $10 and $20 minimum bets."

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...a1da63ddc745c3

Also from the story - two plus two gets a mention...
"At one point I think he asked me, 'What do I do?'" said Matthew Brooks, a poker enthusiast from Washington, D.C., who went to the FBI after trading e-mails and phone calls with Carleo. "And I'm like, 'I don't know what to tell you, man.'"

On Jan. 16, Carleo approached Brooks on Two Plus Two, a popular Web forum where the heist was a hot topic, with players discussing how the bandit might try to turn his chips into real money, Brooks said. Eventually, they talked by phone.

no longer true. the 40-80 mix has barely run at all in the past few months. The O8 game has occasionally been played as 40-80 OE which is technically a mix game but I'm not considering it one.

i would assume roy cooke moved up to 40/80.

Anyway, I really hope this isnt the death 100/200 at the Bellagio. I really want the game to come back more. I know it isnt the easiest game, but I dont expect 100/200 to be easy and if its close to as good as the Commerce 100/200 ill be happy.

The 100 runs every time I'm there. Well, not when I walk in. But I tell the floor I'd like to play 100, and they are always able to get a game going pretty quickly and it fills fast.

I have noticed it tends to break when I leave though, so maybe it is kind of spotty?

Or maybe you're the fish. J/k

I can't wait until I'm rolled for the mid-stakes, commerce and the B sound like the places to be. Even though at 8/16 and 10/20 I've yet to meet a player anywhere near my skill level.

A lot of 8-16 and 10-20 players think that.

True but i see players making blatantly bad mistakes all day. There was one player I ran into that I was told by all the other players was good but she turned out to be a huge spew monkey, which doesn't work against calling stations obv.
