Why is a babysitting relative a better choice than a casino's childcare facility? The casino people are probably at least trained in child CPR and first aid and have some emergency equipment and procedures in place plus a child safety-proofed play area. Grandma, OTOH, has knitting needles lying around and takes naps and puts butter on burns. A teenage babysitter is good material for BBV4L but that's about it.

Most parents traveling with their family on a cruise ship don't think twice about dropping the kids off at the children activities area and heading out to the casino. How is that any different?

Your house has wheels right? Just leave him outside in the trailer with the windows cracked.

Everyone who is so offended by daycares in casinos is looking at this like a tourist rather than a Vegas local. The locals casinos have movie theatres, bowling alleys, food courts, kids play areas, etc. They occupy the same niche that a mall in any other city would. They're designed for families, and if you live in Vegas these are the places where you go for many of your recreational activities, whether you're gambling or not.

Tell me with a straight face you'd drop your kids off at a casino daycare. Last time I checked Dallas wasn't in Arkansas...although it is close to Mobilehoma, so understand why you're trying to justify leaving kids at casino daycares.
Maybe the kids can take a field trip to the casino floor, or bar, or lobby where the mom's with really short skirts just seem to hang around all day waiting for something.

I've got to ask; What does the physical location of the daycare matter? Now if you would never leave your precious babies at any daycare this isn't the relevant thread.

You're right, I'm spewing out irrelevant information with the Arkansas and Oklahoma reference. Bad form on my part, but I just believe that if one is repeatedly dropping your kid(s) at a casino daycare to gamble then there is a problem.

Obviously there is a need for them for employees and folks on vacation.

you know, in all these replies, no ones considered the children.

im sure theyd enjoy the casino daycare much more than some regular daycare run at a church or something.

have you ever actually walked by one?

they look like a ton of fun!

if i was a child, id love to play there.

I don't know the first thing about daycare services but if I had a kid and was given the choice of leaving them at a Station casino or at a randomly selected place, I'd probably chose Stations. They spend a ****load of money to maintain their status as the place to be for locals and that means that they do things right.

I actually find it pretty depressing that stuff like seeing a movie requires a trip to a casino but that's just pretty much the way things work around here.

Yes but now that I think about it more the mom might have not picked up the kid because she was dead as opposed to broke. So the CSI team had to pick up the kid and they implied that it happened a lot when people were broke.

taking redrock for example, its a really well designed station casino.

most people park in the parking garage, so if you enter from the parking garage, to the right they have the kids/family oriented places (kidsquest, foodcourt, movie theater) and to the left is the actual casino.

Not read all the posts here so someone may have already said this but...

Circus Circus is ate up with families bringing in coolers, kids etc like they're going to a picnic or the park or something every time I've been there. It's really quite strange. I saw a guy try to order a drink with his kid standing next to him once - they wouldn't serve him. I've heard a parent there say something like "I have no idea where my kid is, gave him $20 3 hours ago." While playing blackjack and drinking.

If I was in that pot with the winning hand I'm afraid I'd be forced to muck, unless a railbird wanted to be staked in the baby stakes game.

If by "Casino's", you mean a video arcade place, owned by a guy named "Casino", then probably yes, in the United States (illegal in Canada).

If you actually mean "Casinos", as in the general gambling halls across the nation, then, it's a yes (to the restrooms, shops, restaurants, hotel), but not onto the casino floor. In fact there are signs saying that no one under 21 years of age my be on the casino floor. As it happens, babies are by definition under 21 years of age.
