You might be better off if you decided that making money was more important than playing some fictitious idea of "real" NLHE.
Buy-ins over 100BB kill action. It makes short-sighted pros happy, but not fish who might be intimidated by deep stacks. And if you would think about it, you'd realize you want to play with fish, not with pros.
Also, if you would think about it, you'd realize that "short buy-in" games are actually just as fairly seen as "large blind" games.
And if you're afraid to play with large blinds, relative to stacks, grow a set.
There's a reason Cali games have so much action.
9-handed games with large blinds makes for a LOT more action than 10-handed games with little blinds, like Vegas has.
