The motivation for Big Easy is the same as Big-O. It's a new edge for early adopters to take advantage of new players. If you didn't already enjoy watching Big-O players exploit Omaha players, you can add a card...

Re: WSOP Side game action: TORSE

Heck, last year I saw people doing 7 cards each to a 6-handed table. Only two from you hand play.

I agree that TORSE is awesome, but if you're starting a new game, start with O. You can't buy the button in a draw game with people sitting out, and it's just a clusterfudge trying to get it running smoothly.

This makes a lot of sense. Better yet, if you're starting short, start on a stud games so new players can just sit and be dealt right in - then everyone's eligible for a hand when you get to the button games.

Yikes. AAK234 triple suited FTW?
I'd be upset not to win at least half the pot with this hand...

in the WSOP live action, they don't give out hourly comps on your cards. The floors have $10 food vouchers that are good in every restaurant, but you have to ask for them.

Re: WSOP Side game action: TORSE

I noticed the TORSE on the Bravo app too and figured that's what it was. I've only played 2-7 at micro-stakes online where all kinds of variations were available as far as limit type and number of draws, but I take it that in live venues it's either NL Single draw, or Limit Triple Draw?

The Bravo app lets you see the active game lists and waiting lists for poker rooms around the country that use the Bravo system.

Re: WSOP Side game action: TORSE

From what I have seen, 10/20 TORSE goes on occasion. 20/40 mixed has been a lot of California draw games such as 2-7, A-5, nl single draw, badugi, badacey, baduci with some ORSE thrown in. I have not witnessed mixed games smaller than 10/20, but it changes from day to day. T is 2-7 triple draw instead of holdem, yes.

Re: WSOP Side game action: TORSE

ive seen running quite often via the app 5-6 days out of 7. Got to have a little variation instead of just all draw games. It should be one drawgame for every 2-3 other games.

TORSE has been going just about every day. The "mix" games usually suck because (like you said) they're mostly draw games. I've wanted to play the 20/40 mix multiple times, but I haven't because I don't want to play 80% slow as **** draw games
