WSOP Side game action: TORSE

Dumb question...

TORSE Im guessing is HORSE with triple draw lowball instead of hold'em? Can someone please confirm.

Also Im confused about the limits they're spreading at the Rio during the WSOP. Im coming up this week and am curious. The bravo app had some TORSE games listed as 1-2 and 5-5... But I would have assumed they are all fixed limit games and was expecting 5-10, 10-20, 20-40 etc.

Another random question... whats Big Easy?

Re: WSOP Side game action: TORSE

that's exactly what TORSE is. HORSE with Triple Draw instead of Hold 'Em. limits it's spread at are 10/20 and 20/40, maybe something higher. the 1/2 and 5/5 are No-Limit 2-7 either single or triple draw. (although NL triple draw seems retarded to me) If they're listed as TORSE, it's probably a mistake. Keep in mind the Bravo app does not differentiate between running games and interest lists for games at the Rio. Not sure what Big Easy is.

Re: WSOP Side game action: TORSE

yup that's what torse is. awesome variation from horse imo. 10/20 has been going a lot and 20/40 sometimes and the games are excellent.

Was playing mixed last night at rio and my buddies said there was a game listed on bravo called 50/100 ***.

We asked the floor if he had any clue what that was. No one at rio knew. I posited that it was 50/100 go **** yourself and someone was having fun on the computer system.

I was just about to post this question...between 5-10 Big Easy and 5-10 ***, it seems that either Daniel Negraneu got bored and invented some new games, or someone is having a field day with the computers...

Because regular live omaha/8 isn't enough of a cluster**** as it is? I really don't understand the motive for adding more cards to a game where someone makes the nuts practically every hand.

Just a guess, use 3 from your hand and 2 from the board.

Wouldn't that make pocket high trips/three to a straight flush way too valuable? I say that as someone with absolutely zero clue as to any adjustments from PLO/8 to five or six card other than "always assume nuts on both ends".

Straight from the source....Big Easy is played as PLO/8 where the button has the choice of 4, 5 or 6 cards (not sure if choice for one round or just that hand)...but most people choose 6.

doesn't it have to be just for that hand? since a different player will have the button next hand? and if it's for an orbit, the same player would always be the one choosing

Bravo is the Display/Queuing system for all of the poker games that you see on the TV.
